I'm not sure about that. If it's true, then Jor-El is directly responsibile for John's death, and I guess that if Clark finds out, then there will be no relationship between the two. Lionel does not have Jor-El powers either, so it's hard to believe he is Jor-El.

I fear even the writers don't know the answer to that question, much as they didn't know what to do with the Lana/witch storyline and just made up an anticlimatic resolution.Comment

No, this season seems much more planned out than season four. I think the writers know exactly what they're doing. Personally, I don't think people on the message board give the writers enough credit. They're obviously superb writers to write such wonderful dialogue and stories, otherwise we wouldn't be on this message board discussing it if it wasn't such juicy, great stuff.
But I think Lionel has been Lionel since "Hidden" (the episode where Jor-El inhabited him), but Jor-El can possess him if he needs to.Comment
