          • It's Lionel. Son is just an expression from older men to younger men. If you recall they use this many times in the series. I can think of one off the top of my head. In the season 4 finale Jonathan tells Jason to, "Just put the gun down son" and there are more I just can't think of them. I think Linel is looking after Clark in the ways he thinks he can. That's why he uses this term a lot.

            • i think when lionel says stuff "son" he means it because he knows clarks secret and proberbly thinks better of clark then does of his own son lex, it kinda weird,
