Actor Jeff Ward has been cast in a mystery role for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5, according to Deadline. The Hollywood trade reports that Ward's unnamed character will be part of a "major multi-episode arc."

Coulson takes control! Clark Gregg to direct an episode of AoS this season. I know he's directed stuff in the past but have never seen his (directing) work. Looking forward to checking out his style.

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return on Friday, Dec. 1 at 8pm with a two-hour premiere. The series will then move to its regular Fridays at 9 pm timeslot on Dec. 8th

Well that figures... Inhumans was just a place holder until S.H.I.E.L.D. returned. What will it mean for the show overall being on Fridays?

I do see a lot of people surprised with the late return. I believe Inhumans is over sometime in November (6th or 8th or something?). I get that they wouldn't want to start and then have to take off for the holiday but you'd also think they would want to get in for November sweeps?

As for the move to Fridays, that's maybe not such a good thing. Friday is known as 'death slot' night. But then, from other fans around the internet, it does seem like most AoS fans DVR it or watch it streaming or the like. So that shouldn't affect the live numbers too much?

Dove Cameron will portray [SPOILER]a character named Ruby, who has a mysterious obsession with Daisy Johnson (why am I not surprised?). The character is also the daughter of General Hale, who we saw in the episode "Rewind".[/SPOILER]
