Shortly after the news about George Romero's passing, it was also announced that Martin Landau has passed away.
Best known for his role on the original TV series "Mission: Impossible", he also won an Oscar for his portrayal of Bela Lugosi in "Ed Wood". He was in a ton of other stuff (including "Cleopatra" with Elizabeth Taylor and Rex Harrison!), and was friends with James Dean back in the day, too.
It should also be noted that he, purportedly, was the first choice to play Spock. Ironic considering that, when Martin left M:I, Leonard Nimoy was brought in to replace him.
