The Birds of Prey being Hawkgirl, The Canary(Dinah Drake)or Jessie Quick,Gypsy and Nyssa al Ghul who banned together to defeat a Villain who can control Human and Alien Males with a meta human ability or Magical artifact. And finding herself outnumbered on Earth 1 escapes with a controlled Cisco to breach to Super-girl's earth. With the aim of gaining control of Superman. The Villain found out about him from the Arrow or Flash.

My question would an episode like this work

I have no idea. Since I haven't seen the Arrow or Legends version of the Invasion crossover, I don't know if Superman was mentioned in that crossover.
