The current problem with Barry though, is he's still not making the right decisions. We know time travel is bad. Barry's solution to the Savitar issue, rather than go back in time to try to change something, is to attempt to circumvent the rules, by going forward, and having his future self tell him how to change the past. He's still trying to muck about in time, because he's still not able to recognize or understand, his actions have consequences. He's fighting the consequences of his previous choices right now, but trying an end run around on the rules that put him in his current position.

If Barry still doesn't grasp it by end of this season, there may be only one solution to knock some sense into him and bring the speedster to heel (though it would be a nuclear one):

      In Batman, I trust.

(He should probably deal with LoT's outlaws first, as they are the most egregious offenders in violating the temporal order of things.)

Heck, God exists in DC. Barry better watch himself or he might have to deal with the big blue hand.

He won't. Next episode will feature his ninth trip through time and we'll probably get a tenth (if not more), before the season is over. Even if a tenth doesn't happen, this season, you're still left with Barry traveling through time, nine times in three years. If he hasn't learned to not mess with time, by this point, he probably isn't going to. Regardless of the consequences. As long as he's happy, it doesn't matter what happens. On the subject of Dante dying, because of Flashpoint, we don't know how many else died because of it. Hundreds, thousands could be dead due to Barry messing with the timeline (Dante is the only one he knows about, due to him knowing the guy's brother).

Or, to flip that arguement, how many people who were dead before Flashpoint are alive now...

Again though, it's all hypothetical and the changes are probably more limited than we imagine. If the lives of the characters we know are any indication, the 2 timelines are similar to a huge degree.
