This Netflix-original comedy-drama is inspired by Norman Lear's 1975 series of the same name. I'm hearing it's getting rave reviews for a remake. Really loved the first season. I couldn't help smiling and laughing all throughout the first season. The issues that it dealt with felt real and true. I hope it gets renewed.

so, I saw a lot of familiar behavior. And as the season 2 storyline went, Lydia and Schneider tried to become US citizens... As a Dominican immigrant whose family came to the US in the 80s and became US citizens years later, I remember all too well helping my folks study for their citizenship and I remember the citizenship ceremony. I can’t imagine trying to do it now with the current state of affairs.
