Homage to Action Comics #1

Not seen anyone mention this so far, but Mon El, in Wellingesque clothes, catching a car is about as close to a homage to Action #1 that you'll ever see. I really like how the showrunners tease in classic covers in Supergirl scenes, such as the COIE #7 homage in the Metallo ep.

I know Man of Steel did an homage to it. But instead of smashing the person's car; Man of Steel has Clark wrap the person's truck around the pole.

But the scene is basically the exact same with some minor changes replacing Lois with the waitress and the car for a truck.
