What did you think?

I was ready to give it a 7, seeing as how I liked their take on Aladdin (I thought the actor did a very good job with his portrayal and I thought the, "Open sesame!," part was funny), but:

Then, Hook lied to Emma about hiding the shears. So, I gave it a 6.

On top of that, I didn't like the fact that David was right there with everybody else giving Emma the business for not being honest when he's lying to Mary Margaret. What a hypocrite.

I found the spa scene with The Evil Queen and Zelena weird. Also, do we really need to be reminded that all of the flashbacks occur "Many years ago...?" Do the writers think viewers are that stupid or what?

Other than that, it was fine.

I'm not sure if I'll like next week's episode since I'm not familiar with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, but I'll be watching.

Not a fan of being the savior equals/requires having magical powers. I remember an Aladdin/Hercules crossover on Hercules: The Animated Series, where Hades made a big deal that Jafar had trouble defeating a mere mortal.
