Hmm another "Mariah Carey" reference this week. Is it because she's voicing the mayor in the LEGO Batman Movie?

Why can't the effects for Black Canary look like Silver Banshee's scream effect. Twice this week screaming power was referenced in Mariah Carey.

Seems like this episode is a PSA for spinal injuries.

End of the episode had the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation logo.

As a disabled person who uses a wheelchair (Cerebral Palsy, birth defect), I'm glad they finally justified Felicity's arc with this episode. They were crap at addressing the logistics of orthopedic disability, but I'm glad they finally addressed the economics of it. Disability is manageable as long as you can fund the acquisition of adaptive equipment and fund the hiring of care giver personnel. That needed to be acknowledged.
