  • A Chlark version of season 10

    Hey, there! This is something I've spent along time thinking about doing. A rewrite of season 10! With a Chlark romantic angle. Now, keep in mind that this will not be fully Chlark based. Other relationships will be important. But the main romantic relationship will be our favorite couple. Clex will also be in the forefront. Hints of Clois, Clana, Lexana, Chimmy, Chlollie will be something that echoes throughout this story.

    Now, my great hope is that this will be a very interactive process between us. I really want to have a full 22 episode season. And that's something I know I just can't do on my own. So, I call upon you my fellow Chlarkers! I hope that this is allowed, because I want us to pull our resources and work together as a writing staff. I'm just not that very good of a writer myself, so it's important to me to have you guys here. I'm an idea man guy mostly, but I still do write. Just not very well. I've got some strange ideas. Ideas that may seem off-putting. But I need you guys.

    The way this will hopefully go is that I'll provide a basic outline for each episode, or maybe just an idea, to you, or a few of you, and you go and write it. Write it in whatever style you want. It doesn't have to be in the format I put mine in. I'm just not good enough to write it as fanfiction usually is. Obviously you will post it as your own story, on fanfiction.net or any other site, but please acknowledge the joint effort placed into it by the collective group. As will I. If you wish we can all come together and figure something out as a group if we're stuck on a storypoint or a piece of characterization. I myself may need help with the completion and polishing of this episode, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Oh! And maybe one of you video maker Chlarkers can make previously on recaps. Lol.


    Darksied will remain the villain. And my ideas will include Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Brainiac, the return of Lindsey Harrison (Fake Kara from Covenant), Etrigan the Demon, Morgan Le Fey, Mxlpxlt (or however you spell it. lol), Krypton backstory, Zod, Jay Garrick, the Anti-Life equation, the Flashpoint Paradox storyline, and Inza.

    SEASON 10.

    EPISODE 1: LAZARUS.

    TEASER

    EXT. SMALLVILLE-OCTOBER 1989.
    MOIRA SULLIVAN stands outside an auto body shop on a payphone, talking to her husband, smiling.
    MOIRA: Yes. Okay. You were right Gabe. Going to see my sister and her ass of a husband, definitely not one of my best ideas. Yes. Yes, she's fine.
    Moira looks down at her daughter, little CHLOE, clutched to her mother's wrist, but still looking off and tilting her head inquisitively at her surroundings.
    MOIRA: She had the sniffles for about a day, but that's about it. Oh, and you can only imagine how much (uses air quotes) "The General" freaked about having a "contaminated individual" around his pregnant wife. I swear I thought for a second he might have us quarantined. (she laughs) Anyway I'll be home as soon as the mechanic fixes our tire-(sees the mechanic walking up to her) wait a second, here he comes. (to mechanic) Is it fixed?
    MECHANIC: Yeah.
    MOIRA: Thank God. We're on our way honey. Love you. Bye. (lowers phone to Chloe) Say bye to Daddy little cub.
    CHLOE: Bye Daddy. Love you too.
    MOIRA: Okay. Let's get out of here.
    Moira hangs up the phone, and starts to go to her car, when she catches the mechanic staring up at something in the sky, confused and almost terrified all at the same time. She looks too, TO SEE A METEOR FALLING AND THEN OBLITERATING a couple as they stand next to their car. The ground shakes, and it's then that Moira realizes that HER DAUGHTER IS GONE.
    MOIRA: Chloe? (FRANTICALLY LOOKS AROUND AND THEN YELLS OUT) CHLOE!
    Moira looks over and sees Chloe standing in the middle of the street, as more and more meteors fall around them. Chloe looks around, seeing something swoop far above her head, which she catches out of the corner of her eye, causing her to stare up in wonder at what appears to be a ship. Unbeknownst to her a meteor is headed right in her direction. Moira suddenly grabs Chloe and pulls her out of the path of the meteor. It hits the ground, breaking apart, kryptonite flying everywhere, even around Moira as she shields Chloe from the blast. Moira cringes in pain and looks down at her legs, which are hurt. She looks back to Chloe, who is perfectly fine, with exception being very upset.
    MOIRA: Chloe, sweetie, I need you to go get help, okay?
    CHLOE: No, Mommy, I don't wanna leave you.
    MOIRA: Chloe. Please. I need you to be a big girl, okay?
    Chloe tearfully nods.
    MOIRA: Okay. Go.
    Chloe takes off to look for help running past fires, destruction and many hurt people, including a crying girl in a fairy princess costume. Suddenly a beaming white light pulls her focus, almost out of her control, into the sky, to see the white light coming straight towards her.
    CHLOE'S POV: The white light rockets toward her. Coming closer and closer, consuming more and more of her vision, until there is NOTHING BUT WHITE.
    INT. WATCHTOWER-PRESENT DAY.
    Chloe types away at her computer, examining any and all security footage around the area where Oliver taken, and finding nothing but static. She quickly goes back to the last recorded message, hoping to find something.
    OLIVER: Chloe, they're not Kandorians! I love you!
    Chloe looks down at that, a look of guilt being displayed on her features. She snaps out of it, and rewinds the message.
    OLIVER: They're not Kandorians! (rewinds again) Not Kandorians!
    CHLOE: Then what the hell are they?!
    Chloe furiously smacks some things off of the table. She takes a deep breath to regain her composure, then hearing something garbled in the background in the last beat of the recording. She quickly does what she can to modify the sound and make it clearer. And she mostly succeeds. She's able to hear the almost sickly sweet voice of an old woman.
    OLD WOMAN: Don't worry Mr. Queen, you'll have the company of your friends soon enough.
    Fear washes over Chloe's face, an understanding of how dire the situation is.
    COMPUTER: Unknown energy anomaly detected in sector 12.
    CHLOE: Sector 12? (realizing) Clark.
    Chloe swiftly pulls up any camera feeds around that area. She does, but it is too far away, so she magnifies it. The image of Clark and Zod fighting appears on the computer screen as the energy of the book of Rao shoots up into the sky. Suddenly Zod stabs Clark with the blue kryptonite knife! Chloe gasps in horror as Clark falls off of the building.
    CHLOE: Clark!
    EXT. METROPOLIS.
    Clark falls, the blue k blade stuck in his gut. He falls to the ground, SMASHING INTO A PARKED CAR, CRUSHING THE ROOF AND OBLITERATING THE WINDOWS! Clark's lifeless body lays, broken, beaten, and nearly dead.
    INT. WATCHTOWER.
    Chloe activates her communication link to the team, as she grabs her jacket and car keys, and heads out the door.
    CHLOE (into her com-link): Any and all available members, I need your help! NOW!
    JOHN JONZZ'S com-link suddenly comes online.
    JOHN: Chloe? Chloe, is that you?
    CHLOE: Oh, thank God. Something's happened. We need to get Emil.
    -LATER-
    Chloe re-enters the watchtower holding the the blue k knife. She quickly places it into a lead container. Clark's blood on her hands gives her pause, which she quickly jerks herself out of, staying on point.
    CHLOE: Okay.
    John and DR. EMIL HAMILTON enter, carrying Clark. They lay him on one of the tables. Emil quickly opens his bag, pulling out a pair of scissors, which he uses to cut open Clark's shirt and examine him.
    CHLOE: Why isn't he healing?
    EMIL: It seems his body has already begun to shut down. (becomes choked up a bit) I don't think there's anything we can do Chloe.
    CHLOE: NO! There has to be a way!
    John steps up to Chloe to try to calm her.
    JOHN: Chloe, Emil could be right. And as hard as it is for me to say it, we have to focus on the others. I've lost contact with AC, Dinah, Bart, and Cyborg. Oliver's the only one who knows-
    Chloe angrily pulls herself away from John.
    CHLOE: Oliver was taken! Probably by whoever took the others.
    John takes a step back.
    JOHN: What?
    CHLOE: That's why we need Clark. He's the only chance we have at finding them.
    EMIL: Chloe...
    CHLOE: No! I'm not gonna hear it! There's another way, and if both of you are just going to accept this, then I guess I'm the only one not giving up. (looks to John, and extends hand) Key. Now.
    John looks at her with pity in his eyes.
    CHLOE: You did get it from the barn, right?
    JOHN: Yes. Just like you told me. (takes octagonal disc out and places it into Chloe's bloody hand) But Chloe, I don't-
    CHLOE: Jor-El brought Clark back once and he can do it again. And if you won't help me to get to the cave, then I can easily call Hawkman or dri-
    Suddenly the octagonal disc emanates light that consumes Chloe, and reaches out, like an arm, taking Clark as well, transporting them-
    INT. KAWATCHE CAVES-CAVE WALL.
    -into the cave wall. Light shines down upon Chloe as she shields her eyes to keep herself from being blinded by it, glancing down to see Clark laying at her feet, his condition still critical and quickly kneels down next to him.
    JOR-EL: Chloe Sullivan.
    Chloe's head jerks up at Jor-El's voice.
    CHLOE: JOR-EL! You have to save Clark! Your the only one who can!
    JOR-EL: I am sorry. But even this is beyond my ability.
    Fury ignites behind Chloe's eyes.
    CHLOE: "Sorry?" "Sorry?!" I am tired of this crap! I'm tired monsters, and kryptonian warlords, and meteor freaks, and losing people I love! I'm tired of Clark having to clean up after your planet's failures! And I'm tired of you sitting back and doing nothing but dolling out punishment, giving hypocritical lectures, vague warnings, and spouting contradictory nonsense! Now, you listen to me: You will save Clark, you will do this one good thing for Clark, the only good thing you've done since you impregnated your wife, who from everything I know was ten times the person that you are, or were, or so help me I will hack into the pentagon's database and launch every nuke at you and your damn fortress!
    JOR-EL: I understand you are in pain, but your attack would do no good, as my connection to the fortress was broken when Zod destroyed the main console, that I am barely sustaining my energy here. And you must know that there is nothing in any universe more precious to me than my son. And if there was any way, including the destruction of myself, I would do it... but I know of none.
    Chloe starts fall apart into a look of defeat, tears flowing freely down her cheeks.
    CHLOE: Then why'd you bring us here.
    JOR-EL: The key sensed Kal-El's DNA on your hands when you touched it. He was brought to be given a proper kryptonian burial, and you because it sensed your infection.
    CHLOE: Infection?
    JOR-EL: The same one you had when I saw you last.
    Chloe attempts to snort up her tears as she wipes them away from her eyes and then stands up.
    CHLOE: Send us back.
    JOR-EL: I cannot.
    CHLOE (emotionally raw and broken): Please. I will find a way to save Clark. I can.
    JOR-EL: Okay.
    Chloe reacts with surprise at that, but it strengthens her resolve.
    CHLOE: I will.
    JOR-EL: I pray you do.
    CHLOE: Can an A.I. pray?
    JOR-EL: This one will.
    The bright white light washes over Chloe and Clark, taking them back to the Watchtower, leaving one final warning from Jor-El:
    JOR-EL: Remember this: Kal-El has only twenty-four earth hours before there is no saving him.

    END OF TEASER.

    OPENING CREDITS.

    INT. WATCHTOWER.
    Chloe erratically switches from computer to computer, searching everything, from Luthorcorp files to Queen Industries', as John and Emil pace behind her.
    JOHN: That can't be right.
    CHLOE: Jor-El said so himself. He's useless. No point in dwelling on what we can't change. We have to stay focused.
    Emil intercepts Chloe in-between computers.
    EMIL: Exactly how long do we have?
    CHLOE (taking a breath): He said 24 hours. (looks over at Clark) Then it's hopeless.
    CLOSE UP OF CLARK'S CLOSED EYE AS WE TRANSITION INTO-
    EXT. LIMBO-OUTSIDE A CORNFIELD.
    CLARK JERKS AWAKE. He quickly stands up, eyes searching his surroundings, confusion dawning on him as he easily recognizes them. A noise echoes from deep inside the cornfield.
    CLARK: Who is that?!
    Clark cautiously steps toward the sound, into the maze of the cornfield. He sees a figure ahead of him rushing through the field, and follows him.
    CLARK: Hey!
    The figure speeds up, almost running from Clark. Clark does his best to catch up, but somehow can't.
    CLARK: Wait! How did I get here?! What is this?!
    Clark sees the figure exiting the field through a clearing and follows suit, rushing after the figure only to come to an empty clearing. With the exception of a scarecrow post. The same one Clark was once hung from. Clark stares, with emotions ranging from confusion to fear passing over his features.
    CLARK: What the...?
    Suddenly a wave of severe pain hits Clark like a truck, causing him to drop to his hands and knees, his veins darkening, his body quivering in agony as he tries to find the source of his torture. His eyes lock on it: Lana's kryptonite necklace, as it was before it was neutralized. It's simply laying there on the ground in front of him, in front of the scarecrow post. Clark attempts to reach for it so he can toss it away, but the pain is too much and he collapses under his own weight, barely able to move. A hand then reaches down, picks up the necklace by it's chain and places it into the lead box that was forged from the armor of St. George. Clark's pain disappears as quickly as it came, and Clark looks up at his savior to see none other than his father, JONATHAN KENT, who extends his hand to help him up. Clark takes it, and, with Jonathan's help, stands up.
    CLARK: Dad? (off his Dad's sad but comforting smile) Is that you? I've missed you.
    Clark hugs Jonathan, and Jonathan embraces him back.
    JONATHAN: I've missed you too son. So much.
    The environment around them alters completely, forming into-
    INT. LIMBO-BARN-CONTINUED.
    Clark breaks away from the embrace with a start at the change, and looks around at it.
    CLARK: How...? (coming to the realization) I'm dead... (turns back around to face Jonathan) aren't I?
    Jonathan looks crestfallen for a moment, before finding Clark's eyes again.
    CLARK: Zod stabbed me, and I fell. I must be dead.
    Jonathan shakes his head.
    JONATHAN: No... Not yet. But you're running out of time.
    CLARK: And then I'll be dead.
    Jonathan steps up to Clark.
    JONATHAN: That's exactly what I'm here to stop from happening.
    INT. UNKNOWN LOCATION-TORTURE CHAMBER.
    OLIVER QUEEN hangs by chains. Bloody, beaten, and half unconscious, with a blindfold over his eyes.
    INT. UNKNOWN LOCATION-HALLWAY OUTSIDE TORTURE CHAMBER.
    An Old Woman stands outside the room, most of her face concealed in shadows, staring into the chamber, a sadistic, and yet somehow twistedly sweet smile practically dripping off of her face. An armored, militaristic Woman walks up to the Old Woman.
    WOMAN: Granny.
    Granny's eyes shift over to the Woman, her smile morphing into a glare of pure darkness. The hard militaristic Woman suddenly drops her eyes away, physically and emotionally practically turning into a little girl just at the look of Granny. She swallows hard.
    GRANNY: Yes?
    WOMAN: The coordinates he gave us are viable. We've found the pit.
    Granny looks back to the chamber.
    GRANNY: And Tess?
    WOMAN: Barely stable. She'll make an excellent test subject.
    GRANNY: Good. Prepare her and the Destroyer for transport.
    WOMAN: Already gave the order. Granny, do you think it's wise to keep Oliver Queen alive?
    GRANNY (voice taking on an otherworldly dark viciousness): Are you questioning our master's judgement?
    The woman backs away, terror filling her eyes.
    WOMAN: No! Granny, I would never-
    Granny's hand swiftly clutches at the throat of the Woman, choking her as she's lifted up from the floor.
    GRANNY: You do not question him or me. Is that clear?
    WOMAN (barely breathing, tears coming to her eyes): Yes. Yes, Granny, I promise.
    Granny drops the Woman to the floor and her entire demeanor and voice shifts back into that of a sweet old woman so quickly that one unprepared for it would get whiplash.
    GRANNY: Good girl.
    The Woman coughs as she rubs her throat, catching her breath.
    GRANNY: With the darkness that resides within Mr. Queen already, when broken, he will be a valuable asset. Especially when the other members of his group are here with him.
    WOMAN (finally regaining some of her composure): The extraction teams have yet to report in. I get on it. What of our other guest?
    GRANNY (ponders for a moment, then): He has the potential for darkness. But he's too stubborn to truly see our way. When it's done, kill him.
    The Woman manages to stand back up, still rubbing her throat.
    GRANNY: Aw. (places her hands on each side of the Woman's face, which makes her jerk in fear a bit) Don't be afraid. You know Granny Goodness loves you.
    Granny kisses the Woman on the forehead, which actually seems to comfort her. She beams.
    GRANNY: Now. It's time for Lazarus to rise. (looks back to Oliver's chamber) I've ordered that Mr. Queen get another round of re-education. See to it that he's ready by the time I get back.
    The Woman nods, and Granny leaves. An armored Being with everything even its face covered comes up behind her, as she turns to face it, and then steps out of its way, looking to the chamber.
    WOMAN: You heard Granny.
    The Being silently unlocks the chamber and enters, as the Woman stands outside of the room, overseeing.
    INT. TORTURE CHAMBER-CONTINUED.
    The Being walks up to Oliver, and almost carefully unties the blindfold. Oliver blinks, eyes adjusting to the light, but once it does, a brief look of fear flashes in his eyes at the sight of the armored Being, which he quickly tries to cover with smugness and defiance.
    OLIVER: Hey. Nice armor. Is it the only way you can cover your ugly face?
    The Being simply stands there, calm, blank, unmoving, a complete lack of reaction to Oliver's insult, which clearly unnerves him a bit. It tilts it's head, like a dog examining something it doesn't understand. It circles Oliver coldly like a shark, examining him. Oliver swallows hard.
    OLIVER: I'm not gonna say anything. So you might as well just kill me now.
    It comes back face to face with Oliver, and looks into his eyes, which Oliver forces himself to hold to show his strength. It's a mistake. The Being lifts it's armored hands, showing it's bare palms to Oliver, as he looks in confusion.
    OLIVER (sarcastically): Yeah, good for you. Real clean Gauntlets. You should get a gold star.
    Suddenly the right gauntlet burns firey hot, and the left sparks with electricity. It places its hands on opposite ends of Oliver's chest, burning and electrocuting him at the same time.
    INT. HALLWAY OUTSIDE CHAMBER-CONTINUED.
    The Woman watches on, as Oliver's screams of pain echo out of the chamber. Sounds rumble from the vents, which easily catches the Woman's attention, her eyes shifting over in its direction.
    INT. WATCHTOWER.
    Chloe sits at the computer, face buried in her hands.
    CHLOE: Nothing. Not in Luthorcorp, not in Queen Industries, there is nothing that can help us! (takes a breath to calm herself and looks out the window to see the sun starting to rise) John, are you sure-
    JOHN: Yes, Chloe, I'm sure. With his body already beginning to shut down there's no way for his cells to absorb the energy of the yellow sun.
    EMIL: Tess was doing research on the Kandorians. She wouldn't make any of that official for someone, say you, to get a hold of. More than likely it's all on hardcopy.
    JOHN: She's in the hospital.
    CHLOE: We should pay her a visit then.
    INT. UNKNOWN LOCATION-TORTURE CHAMBER.
    The Being stops the torture, and Oliver lets out a breath of relief, as he looks back up to see it blankly staring at him again.
    OLIVER: What are you looking at, huh?! What do you want?!
    The Being lifts its hand once again, while staring at Oliver with an empty look. Oliver wavers slightly, but still tries to maintain his defiance.
    OLIVER: Go ahead. Do your worst.
    Water emanates from the Being's gauntlet. That's what causes fear to flow more freely than before through Oliver. The Being grabs Oliver by the throat and holds its hand up to his face, controlling the water that comes from it and wrapping it around his face, drowning him slowly. He struggles, but can do nothing. He seemingly submits, as vicious images flash before his eyes: Memories of him hugging his father and mother for the last time. And then imagined visions, things he couldn't have seen: The death of his parents. Them drowning, much like he is now.
    INT. HALLWAY OUTSIDE CHAMBER-CONTINUED.
    The Woman follows the sounds through the vent, turning a corner to see one open above her. She's suddenly jumped by DINAH LANCE AKA BLACK CANARY, who is quickly and easily flipped over onto her back, which surprises her. She gets back to her feet, and engages in a fight with the Woman. Dinah gives her a right cross, but the Woman dodges, grabs Dinah's arm and twists it around, pulling at it to break. Dinah throws another punch, which lands enough to free her from the Woman's grip. But she's too fast for Dinah to capitalize on it, because as soon as she attempts a cross kick, the Woman grabs her leg and hurls her into a wall, HARD. Dinah falls to the ground in pain, a bloody gash on the side of her head, and the Woman places her boot on her throat, choking her.
    WOMAN: We didn't think you were incompetent enough to come running to us. And failing so miserably in your rescue mission... (scoffs) I don't know why Granny sees your group as anything other than a minor nuisance.
    DINAH (struggling to keep the boot from choking her): It might be because of this.
    Dinah lets out her CANARY CRY, which TEARS THROUGH THE WOMAN'S EARDRUMS. The Woman quickly covers her bleeding ears, clutching them as she yells out in agony, simultaneously stepping off of Dinah. This gives her the opportunity and advantage she needs. She jumps to her feet, gives the Woman, as she still holds her ears in pain, a series of right and left jabs, easily catching her off guard. She then gives her an uppercut right to the jaw, and grabs her head, pulls her down and knees her in the face. Dinah finishes the Woman off by grabbing the back of her head and slamming her into the wall face first. The Woman falls down, unconscious.
    DINAH (looking down at the Woman): And you call me incompetent. You didn't even know who you were fighting.
    Dinah runs down the hall, to Oliver's chamber. She then opens it and enters.
    INT. TORTURE CHAMBER-CONTINUED.
    Dinah quickly rushes in to see Oliver strung up, and she makes her way over to him.
    DINAH: Oh my God. (shakes him a bit) Ollie. Ollie, wake up.
    Oliver awakens just in time to see the armored Being come up behind Dinah.
    OLIVER: Behind you!
    But he's too late. The Being goes to grab Dinah from behind, but she reacts quickly before it can place its hands on her, and elbows it in the face. She turns around and kicks it into the wall. It slides down, out cold. Oliver looks on in moderate confusion.
    OLIVER: I thought for sure that'd be harder.
    The Being then turns into smoke and shoots out of the armor, swiftly disappearing into the vents. Now Dinah's confused.
    DINAH: Well... that's definitely the weirdest thing I've seen all day. (looks back to Oliver, seeing him still strung up) Right.
    Dinah digs through the pile of armor and finds a set of keys.
    OLIVER: So, what are you doing here?
    Dinah walks up to Oliver and tries one of the keys on the lock of his shackles. It unlocks. She then goes to check if the hallway's still clear.
    DINAH: I was with Bart with they came for me. He'd broken his com again. They weren't expecting both our powers at the same time. I placed a tracker on one and let him "get away", followed him here, knocked him out, and snuck in.
    Oliver grabs up his Green Arrow gear laying in the corner.
    OLIVER (eyes shifting to the bloody gash on Dinah's head): Not very well apparently.
    DINAH: I had to improvise. They're harder to beat than who they sent after us.
    OLIVER: You okay?
    DINAH: Yeah.
    Oliver starts to put his gear back on.
    OLIVER: Should be easier with the cavalry though.
    DINAH: Hate to disappoint you, but I'm it.
    OLIVER: What?
    DINAH: I had everyone on the team go dark when I realized how they found us.
    Dinah pulls a folded up piece of paper from her pocket and hands it to Oliver. He unfolds and then reads it.
    DINAH: I pulled it off of one of the guys they sent. It's everything about us. Strengths, weaknesses, names...
    OLIVER: This is from Watchtower.
    DINAH: I figured they hacked in, were tracking us through our com-link. Can you run? Because were gonna have to to get out of here in one piece.
    OLIVER (almost surprised): Yeah. But I heard them say they have someone else here. We have to get them too.
    Oliver and Dinah exit the chamber.
    INT. OTHER HALLWAY-CONTINUED-LATER.
    Dinah and Oliver, with his bow and arrow raised, peers over a corner, seeing two more of the same militaristic armored women from before guarding another chamber. Oliver swiftly turns the corner, pulls back his arrow, and fires. They both quickly jerk their heads in his direction, and one of them even catches the arrow. She gives a self-satisfied smirk to Oliver, which he returns, because the arrow then releases knock-out gas. They both fall to the ground. Oliver and Dinah rush up to the chamber, and open the door, allowing light to shine in on the man inside, which he holds his hand up to block from his eyes and keeping his face hidden.
    OLIVER: Come on. (the man does nothing) We're here to save you!
    The man stands up. Oliver looks to Dinah.
    DINAH: Got a way outta here?
    MAN: I know one.
    They both look the man, whose face we are able to see and who we recognize as ADAM KNIGHT. Oliver nods.
    OLIVER: Lead the way.
    Adam walks out of the chamber, and Oliver and Dinah follow.

    INT. LIMBO-BARN.
    Clark and Jonathan walk up the stairs, ascending into the top of the barn.
    CLARK: I don't understand. If I'm not dead, then what is this? Another trial from Jor-El? An illusion? A trick?
    JONATHAN: No, son. Jor-El has nothing to do with this.
    Clark begins to get frustrated.
    CLARK: Then what?
    Jonathan takes a deep breath and turns to him.
    JONATHAN: You're in the limbo between life and death Clark.
    Clark takes a step back, absorbing this information. He swallows hard.
    CLARK: So, I am gonna die.
    Jonathan steps up to Clark, placing his hand on Clark's shoulder.
    JONATHAN: No. Not if you fight. Not if you find the strength to want to live.
    CLARK: You think I don't, Dad?
    Jonathan takes his hand off of Clark.
    JONATHAN: I don't know. Do you?
    CLARK: Of course I do. I have a life, friends, mom, people I love! The world needs me! The people do!
    Jonathan takes a breath, one of uncertainty, and then finds his footing again.
    JONATHAN: You mean the same people you hide yourself from Clark?
    CLARK: What?
    JONATHAN: You know what I'm saying son. This barn is a symbol of how you've hidden from everything in your life, in one way or another. When you'd thought Lana had left you, you hid in the Blur, when your guilt over what happened to Jimmy was too much, you hid behind this. (points to the S shield on Clark's chest) Your Kryptonian side. Even in here, anywhere, where it's easy to find a distraction. Different places, different people, even people you already know, because they make it easy, because they don't know your failures, or your guilt, and then you hide from that too. Like with Lois.
    That catches Clark's attention.
    CLARK: You think I was using Lois to hide?
    JONATHAN: I know what you've been feeling Clark. Lost, without direction, like your being swept away in a current that's too strong for you, so you cling to a bouy, even though you won't be able to hold onto it for very long. You're trying to find yourself. And that's okay Clark. We all have a period in our lives where we have no idea where to go, and what we want, and we grab a hold of something in an attempt to find it. We try to find the pieces of our lives that make up the full puzzle. And when you couldn't find that piece in your kryptonian heritage, you tried to find it in her.
    CLARK: I love Lois.
    JONATHAN: I know. You loved Lana too.
    CLARK: That was different.
    JONATHAN: How?
    Clark tries to find the answer to that, but he can't.
    JONATHAN: You still lie. You still keep yourself hidden, even when there's no danger, when there's no risk. You still hide.
    CLARK: I was trying to protect her!
    JONATHAN: Lana or Lois? Because that's never done anything but hurt them.
    Clark takes this in. His uncertainty is written all over his face.
    JONATHAN: We both know what this is about. You're afraid that if she knew, you wouldn't be accepted. It's the same reason you lied to Lex, Chloe, Lana, and Pete. It's something that's never changed with you.
    CLARK: Lois accepted the Blur. She'd accept me.
    JONATHAN: You're right, but you've never trusted her enough to give her that choice, that opportunity, even when you know her response. All that fear, I can't blame you for it. The way I'd raised you, it was to be afraid of how people would see you, or treat you, if you showed them everything that you are. It's my fault that you've lost that trust in people to truly be the beacon of hope that the world needs you to be.
    CLARK: Dad, that's not true. You gave me the strength to be the hero that I've become.
    JONATHAN: But I also kept you from being the hero that you could be. Son, I am so far from perfect. My anger, my fear, it clouded my judgement, and kept me from seeing your true potential. And I let it consume me until it made my own heart give out.
    CLARK: You were just protecting me.
    JONATHAN: And I would never take that back. But I know that there were better ways to do it. We can't make excuses for our mistakes, Clark. Or change them. We can only move forward, and find a new way to be better than how we've been. You can do that now. You can find your humanity again.
    Clark looks down, trying to find a way to respond, a way to excuse. He looks back up to Jonathan.
    CLARK: I found that in Lois.
    Jonathan takes a breath.
    JONATHAN: You can't find that in one person, Clark. It's in your friends, your family, it's in everyone and everything around you. Everything that you've turned your back on this past year. You've proven that. You threatened to destroy a whole community over Lois. You've been angry, and violent. You've lost yourself, son. (starting to choke up, with tears in his eyes) You've pulled away from everything that matters. That's why you were so easily ready to leave the world defenseless, to abandon it all.
    CLARK (becoming angry): I was trying to save the world!
    Clark is so distracted by the conversation at hand that he doesn't notice the environment starting to change around him again.
    JONATHAN: You were trying to run away from it. You knew there were other ways. Better ways.
    EXT. LIMBO-CORNFIELD-CONTINUOUS.
    We're back in the cornfield, in the same area where we left off, in front of the scarecrow post.
    JONATHAN: But you ignored them.
    Clark then catches on to the change, looking around briefly, before returning his sight to Jonathan.
    JONATHAN: You chose the path that would take you away from your problems, away from your life. Even though you were needed.
    CLARK: I left a team of heroes to protect the world.
    Jonathan's voice takes on a grim tone.
    JONATHAN: That won't be enough. You let Zod stab you over nothing. And now you need to understand what that means.
    Suddenly Clark finds himself strapped to the scarecrow post. Again. Lana's kryptonite necklace instantly appears on him as well, causing him to grit his teeth, strain his muscles, and groan in agonizing pain.
    INT. HOSPITAL-HALLWAY.
    Chloe and Emil walk up to Tess' hospital room, opening the door to see no one in there. The room is clean, the bed is made, there's no sign of Tess being there at all. Chloe scans the room, then looking with worry in her eyes to Emil. She sees a Nurse outside the room, and rushes past Emil into the hallway.
    CHLOE: Hey! (gets to the Nurse) There was a patient in this room. Tess Mercer. Where is she? Was she moved?
    NURSE: I'm sorry, but I can't release any information to non-relatives.
    Emil exits the room, into the hallway, and up to the Nurse as well, pulling out his hospital I.D. and showing it to her.
    EMIL: It's okay. I'm a doctor here. And she's the patients friend. You can tell us.
    NURSE: Okay. (looks to Chloe, with remorse) I'm very sorry, but Ms. Mercer passed away last night.
    A clear sense of alarm is triggered in Chloe.
    CHLOE: What? How? She was here for face burns.
    NURSE: She went into cardiac arrest. Her heart gave out.
    CHLOE (guilt passes over her face): Her heart? (her voice choking) That would mean it was weakened somehow to begin with, right?
    NURSE: I suppose.
    CHLOE (becoming upset): Th-Thank you.
    NURSE: You're welcome. And I'm sorry again for your loss.
    Chloe nods, tears springing to her eyes, and turns around, covering her mouth with her shaking hand, as the Nurse walks away. Emil notices.
    EMIL (concerned): Chloe, what is it?
    CHLOE (voice choking with tears): This is my fault.
    EMIL (confused): What?
    Chloe turns back to face Emil, letting her hand fall back to her side.
    CHLOE: When I had to stop her heart to shut off the tracker Checkmate gave her, I hesitated in saving her. I let her lay there longer than I should have. I was gonna let her die. Everything in my head was screaming for me to.
    EMIL (horrified): Why?
    CHLOE (disgusted with herself): I don't know. There was a time when I would've sooner died than do that. What's happened to me?
    EMIL: Chloe, listen, you need to calm down, and take a breath. You need to stay focused, okay, remember-
    CHLOE: That's what I'm doing! I'm broken, Emil. I have been for a while. And I can't save Clark. I can't even trust myself to save Clark. Something is seriously wrong with me.
    EMIL: Look, Chloe, I realize how hard it is to not fall apart considering everything that's happened today, but you need to, because right now no matter what you think you might be the only way we have to save Clark.
    Chloe looks down, pondering Emil's words, and then realizing something.
    CHLOE: "Everything that's happened..." (looks back up to Emil) Tess died last night. Oliver's abducted, we lose communication with the team, and Tess dies, all in one night... That can't be a coincidence. We need to see Tess' body.
    EXT. NANDA PARBAT-MOUNTAIN-ESTABLISHING.
    INT. MOUNTAIN-INNER CAVERNS.
    The smoke that shot out of the Armored Being flows throughout the caverns of the mountain, entering an open chamber-
    INT. MOUNTAIN-CHAMBER-CONTINUOUS.
    -Where Granny Goodness awaits, standing over a pit, looking into it. The smoke forms into a real human being, or at least into the appearance of one. He is slimey, repulsive, but not ugly, in fact, he is handsome and holds an air of arrogance. His eyes flash of pure darkness as he smiles self-satisfyingly.
    GRANNY: Why are you smiling Dessad? Master will not be pleased that you allowed Oliver Queen to escape.
    DESSAD: Oh, I think he will. (off Granny's look) I ripped open his mind and touched his darkness.
    GRANNY: You should hope that's enough. Because if Knight's information had not been accurate, we would have failed completely due to your incompetence.
    DESSAD (swallowing the insult): You should be hoping that this works. The Destroyer is fading in and out. And you know as well as I do, that the pit cannot breath life into one who is not strong enough to want it.
    GRANNY (creepily determined): He wants it. Believe me. The preparations are being made even as we speak.
    DESSAD: And your certain this isn't a charade, that the pit works?
    GRANNY: What do you think we're doing?
    Granny looks up and nods. Two more hardened female soldiers standing high above Granny and Dessad in an opening nod back and turn a crank, which pulls chains connected to a rectangular cage out of the pit before them. Inside the cage lays Tess. Now completely healed, and dripping with some kind of liquid. Granny Goodness smiles her twistedly sweet and almost proud smile.
    INT. HOSPITAL-MORGUE.
    Chloe flips through Tess' file, reading its contents, as Emil scans the log.
    CHLOE: Heart failure. It's consistent with what we know.
    EMIL: Yeah, but this isn't. (hands clipboard to Chloe) There's no record of Tess being brought down here. Which can only mean one of two things... One: Her body was taken for some reason. Or Two:-
    CHLOE: -Her death was faked.
    EMIL: It's possible.
    CHLOE: Too much is going on. Ollie and Tess are both taken, the same night the kandorians get sent away, there has to be a reason for it. (thinks for a moment) I know what to do... We need the Fate helmet.
    INT. WATCHTOWER-LATER.
    Chloe enters watchtower, Emil following close behind her.
    EMIL: Chloe, this isn't a good idea.
    CHLOE: It can tell us how to save Clark and what happened to Oliver, Tess, and the team. I don't know why I didn't think of it before.
    Emil stops Chloe, turning her around to face him.
    EMIL: And what about the downside? You have no idea what it'll do to your mind, or even if it'll give you anything useful.
    CHLOE (takes a breath, contemplates, and then comes to the conclusion): It's worth the risk.
    Chloe walks over to a desk, kneels down, and opens the bottom drawer, pulls it out completely, revealing a combination safe behind it.
    CHLOE: It's a good thing Carter gave me the keys to the place.
    Chloe puts the combination in, which is 8-10-38. She opens the safe, reaches in, and pulls out a set of keys. Chloe closes the safe and stands up, turning around to face Emil. She walks past him, heading for the door, when suddenly the door opens and Chloe stops to see Oliver standing there. Oliver quickly hugs Chloe.
    OLIVER: Chloe, thank God you're okay.
    Chloe hesitates, but eventually hugs Oliver back, before pulling away.
    CHLOE: What happened? Do you know who took you?
    OLIVER: No.
    CHLOE: How'd you escape?
    OLIVER: You can thank Dinah for that.
    Oliver nods over at Dinah, who has already entered, and Chloe looks at her.
    DINAH: You're welcome.
    Chloe gives a nod to her.
    CHLOE: We'd thought everyone else had been taken. John went looking for the others to make sure.
    DINAH: That's my fault. I had everyone go dark when I thought they were tracking us through our com. I'd have sent Bart to warn you but he hurt his leg.
    CHLOE: Is he okay?
    DINAH: Yeah. Nothing serious.
    OLIVER (O.S.): Oh my God Clark!
    Chloe jerks around to see Oliver standing in the main area of watchtower, staring at Clark's bloody battered body. He rushes up to him.
    CHLOE: Don't touch him.
    Oliver stops.
    OLIVER (clearly worried): What happened?
    CHLOE: Emil will explain everything.
    Chloe turns to head back for the door, but stops dead in her tracks at the last person to enter the watchtower. Adam Knight. Adam recognizes Chloe as well.
    ADAM: You've got to be kidding me.
    Chloe quickly grabs a gun from her desk, cocks it, and points it at Adam. He's not surprised by this. Oliver and Dinah just stare in confusion.

    END OF ACT 2.

    INT. MOUNTAIN CHAMBER-CELL.
    Granny Goodness stands outside of Tess' cell, staring at her unconscious body through the bars... fondly. Tess begins coughing, waking up, and turning over, puking up the green liquid. She gasps, taking in breath, then breathing normally.
    GRANNY (OS): Welcome home Tess.
    Tess' head JERKS in the direction of Granny's voice, who continues to stare at her.
    GRANNY: I apologize for the vomiting. It's a side-effect of the pit.
    TESS: What...? I...
    Tess reaches up to touch the side of her face, the shackles on her wrists limiting her arms. She lowers her face to her hands instead feeling the now completely healed skin. She grabs up a small mirror sitting next to her and looks at her face in the reflection.
    TESS: What happened? (looks back to Granny) What did you do to me?
    Granny looks at Tess in slight confusion, then resumes her eerily calm smile.
    GRANNY (matter-of-factly): I saved your life dear.
    TESS (regaining her sense of control): Where am I? (becoming angry) Tell me where I am!
    GRANNY: That's not important. What is, is that you're alive. And safe.
    TESS (partially amused): Safe? (raising her shackled hands and becoming angry again, yelling) You call this safe?!
    Granny just smiles.
    GRANNY: In time you'll know that to be true.
    Tess defiantly stands up, trying to maintain her visage of strength.
    TESS (worry beginning to come to her again): You'll never get away with this. I have friends, (voice cracking with a hint of sadness) people who care about me, and if anything happens-
    GRANNY (interrupting): Don't try and fool yourself, Tess. We both know that if you vanished off the face of this earth there would be no one that would even care.
    This truth visibly crushes Tess. She tries to keep herself steady, but her belief in Granny's words is written all over her crestfallen face. She blinks back her teary eyes, as Granny easily holds her smile, without an ounce of remorse.
    TESS (choking back sadness): Why'd you save me, if I'm so worthless?
    Granny lets out a small laugh.
    GRANNY: My sweet Tess... You're not to me.
    Granny turns, and walks away from the cell, leaving Tess alone, her words resonating with her.
    INT. WATCHTOWER.
    Chloe holds the gun on a barely concerned Adam, as Oliver and Dinah stare in confusion. Oliver steps over to Chloe in alarm.
    OLIVER: Chloe, what the hell are you doing?!
    CHLOE: What are you doing with HIM?!
    DINAH: He saved our lives. He got us out of there.
    CHLOE: I bet he did. Probably to get himself out, or he's working for who took you.
    ADAM: I'm not.
    CHLOE: Shut up!
    OLIVER: How do you know him?
    CHLOE: He tried to kill Lana. He held me hostage. He can't be trusted.
    ADAM: I'm sorry. More than anything. Believe me.
    DINAH: I'm pretty sure she just said we shouldn't.
    ADAM: I wasn't myself. That stuff, what they shot me up with, it decayed my brain, made me crazy.
    CHLOE: Is that supposed to be an excuse?! After what you did?! The people you killed?! Those scientists? Dr. Teng?
    That catches Adam off guard. The sadness of Teng's death showing in his eyes.
    ADAM: Why would I kill Dr. Teng? She tried to help me. I wouldn't, I couldn't. I got angry because she couldn't help me and I attacked her, but that was it. I swear.
    CHLOE: Well then how- (realization dawning) Lionel. I've never actually thought about it before. How you could take out all those scientists by yourself... And why Lionel would frame Lex for their murder, when he didn't need to. But that still doesn't mean I can trust you.
    ADAM: You can't. I don't expect forgiveness. I don't deserve it. And you can't trust that I won't turn on you, so...(taking in a loaded pause as he takes a deep breath, then finally concluding with) kill me.
    Chloe almost jerks away in shock at the suggestion, disgusted by it.
    ADAM: It's the only way to permanently ensure your safety.
    Oliver's horrified by this. Dinah can only watch, frozen by the tension. Emil is particularly on edge.
    OLIVER: You can't be serious. Chloe, tell me you're not considering this!
    Chloe's finger ever-so-slightly tightens on the guns trigger, as she almost appears to consider it, a cold blankness taking over her features.
    ADAM: Do it. I shouldn't be alive anyway.
    Oliver carefully starts to step over to Chloe, a battle stance ready. Emil cautiously moves a bit closer as well.
    EMIL (tense): Chloe.
    Chloe stares right into Adam's eyes, eyes of complete and utter resolve. He's not bluffing. He means every word. And that resolve snaps Chloe out of her trance like state. She steps away from Adam, shaking her head.
    CHLOE: No.
    Chloe lowers the gun. Oliver smiles in strong relief, stepping back away from her. Dinah's relief more subtlely emanates through a single exhalation of breath that she was previously holding. Emil relaxes a bit more, but still holds clear tension.
    CHLOE (voice raw with emotion, choking it back): That's not... (determined) I'm not that.
    Adam lets out a sigh of disappointment, as Chloe turns away from him. Dinah's completely lost in all this.
    DINAH: Okay, I'm confused. Should I knock him out or not?
    Chloe takes in a deep breath and closes her eyes for a second to calm herself. She lets out the breath and opens her eyes, clarity coming back to her.
    CHLOE: Not. (remembering her mission, as she tosses the gun onto the table and looks over at Clark's body) None of this matters anyway. We have to-
    Chloe stops in her tracks, as it practically hits her over the head. Oliver notices, a hint of concern as he steps toward her.
    OLIVER: What is it, Chloe?
    Chloe turns back to Adam, understanding striking her.
    CHLOE: How are you?
    ADAM (Not really understanding): Not great. I-
    CHLOE: No. You said you shouldn't be alive. How are you alive?
    ADAM (taken aback): I...
    CHLOE: You were dead. Me, Clark, Lana and Mr. Kent identified your body to Sheriff Adams. Are you a clone?
    ADAM (a little amused at the idea): What? Is that a thing?
    CHLOE: You'd be surprised.
    ADAM (now becoming serious again): I'm not. I... (walking past Chloe into the main area, head down) It's hard to explain...
    CHLOE (her unyielding eyes follow Adam, as her agitation grows): I'll manage.
    Adam looks up, his line of vision falling squarely on Clark. He's clearly caught off guard by the sight
    ADAM: Is this why you need to know?
    Chloe, losing more of her self-control, makes her way over to Adam.
    CHLOE: Tell me.
    ADAM: There's no guarantee-.
    CHLOE (snapping): Tell me!
    Adam takes a breath.
    ADAM: All I remember was drowning, and then I was back, in this pool of green liquid, in a... mountain cavern. I got out and a man was waiting for me. He told me that he used the pool to save my life. I don't even know if he was telling the truth.
    CHLOE: Can you take us there?
    ADAM: Someone helped me escape after five years of being held there...
    OLIVER: Is that a yes?
    ADAM: It depends.
    EMIL: On what?
    ADAM: On whether or not the guys that had us (gestures to himself and Oliver) have destroyed it. That's the reason they took me: To tell them where it is.
    CHLOE: Then we better hurry up. Where is it?
    ADAM: Not in Kansas.
    INT. NANDA PARBAT–MOUNTAIN–TESS' CELL.
    Tess brings a rock down onto the chain connected linking her shackles to the floor. She brings the rock down again and again, finally breaking the chain. Tess lets out a breath of relief.
    INT. MOUNTAIN–OPENING IN UPPER LEVEL CAVERN.
    CLOSE ON: A running generator, as it powers a series of life support systems that are connected to a completely bandaged man lying on a slab with a breathing tube down his throat, while a few of the female soldiers check his readings on a heart rate monitor.
    Granny Goodness and Dessad watch, intently.
    DESSAD: If this fails, Master will have your head. Without one, the other is useless.
    Granny, ignoring Dessad's rambling, turns to the female soldiers.
    GRANNY: Do it.
    The soldiers nod in understanding, and begin shutting off ALL of the bandaged man's life support systems. There is silence. Nothing happens as Granny and Dessad wait. Tension fills the air. An arrogant smarmy grin begins to spread across Dessad's face. He starts to speak, when suddenly the bandaged man GASPS FOR AIR! Dessad jerks in surprise, but Granny remains confident. She even smirks. The bandaged man then begins choking on the breathing tube down his throat, as the female soldiers check the reading on his heart rate monitor.
    DESSAD (not expecting that): He's stabilized...
    GRANNY (almost arrogantly still smirking): Don't be so surprised. Your lack of faith has always been your most defining flaw Dessad.
    Dessad, defiant, walks up to the bandaged man and snaps his fingers over his face as he chokes on the breathing tube. The bandaged man doesn't respond at all. Dessad gives a self-satisfied smirk to Granny.
    DESSAD: Your "great messiah" is still under.
    GRANNY (not at all discouraged in her confidence): Despite his survivability, he's only human. He won't remain stabilized for long. That's why we needed the pit. I just wanted to be certain.
    Granny looks to the female soldiers.
    GRANNY: Now.
    The soldiers nod in unison, carefully pull the tube out of the bandaged man's mouth, and take a position on opposite ends of the slab he lies on. They then proceed to lift him up off of it.
    EXT. SKY–QUEEN INDUSTRIES JET–ESTABLISHING–TWILIGHT HOUR.
    The Queen Industries jet speeds throughout the darkening skies.
    INT. QUEEN INDUSTRIES JET–CABIN.
    Oliver prepares for a fight. He places his arrows in his quiver, zips up his outfit, and takes his bow out of its case. Oliver sits down across from Adam, who is downing a glass of scotch.
    ADAM: You better hope this jet is fast enough.
    Adam stands up out of his chair, walks up to a bottle of scotch, and picks it up.
    OLIVER: It is.
    ADAM (as he pours more scotch into his glass): A smaller and sleeker one would move faster. And not advertising your company on it wouldn't hurt.
    Adam walks back over to his chair and sits back down in it.
    OLIVER: Where do I know you from?
    Adam takes a sip of the scotch, and then takes in a deep breath.
    ADAM (swirling around the contents in his glass, thoroughly not invested or interested in the question): I don't know. Somewhere.
    OLIVER: You want something to defend yourself with? Like a gun or-
    THAT catches Adam's attention.
    ADAM (harshly interrupting Oliver): NO. (taking a second to regain composure) (voice calmer with still a harsh tint) I'm never touching one of those things again.
    Oliver's eyes squint curiously at Adam.
    OLIVER: You're gonna get yourself killed.
    ADAM: It doesn't matter.
    Oliver takes in a breath.
    OLIVER: It does. If we're gonna save Clark, we're gonna need your help. So, if you got any ulterior motive in this, we can't go in blind to this. Especially if you've got a death wish.
    Adam takes in another swallow of scotch, then lingering for a bit on it, before exhaling a small breath.
    ADAM: My parents died when I was young.
    Oliver leans back in his chair at that, a solemn look taking over his face.
    OLIVER (voice raw with sympathy): I'm sorry. I know what that's like.
    ADAM: They died right front of me. And I lived. And for so long after that I convinced myself that there must've been a reason for it. And that if I lived long enough, I would find out what that was and my parents death could mean something. So, I fought for my life. Hard. Tooth and nail. Even after I died the first time. I let myself be controlled... I nearly murdered someone. All to save my own ass. Because I was that much of an idiot to think I deserved to live for some higher purpose... But I don't. Because I realized something after being brought back again: I'm not alive for anything. I'm a selfish, worthless, piece of garbage. There is no reason why I'm alive. It's just a random event. So, I figured I might as well die saving someone who actually has a destiny.
    Oliver nods, as Adam turns to look out the window of the jet. Oliver stands up out of his chair and to walk past Adam, before stopping right next to him.
    OLIVER: Ya know, coming back from the dead... twice... that doesn't sound random to me.

    Author's note: From here on out the story is going to be mainly an outline in excerpts. I hope that's okay with ya'll! Enjoy!

    In the back part of the plane Chloe talks to Clark's unresponsive body about how tired she is of everything, about how it's starting to feel like too much for her. She thinks about what Jor-El said about her infection, and tries to heal Clark, thinking that that's what he was talking about, but it doesn't work. She calls Emil and tells him that when they've saved Clark she's gonna give him a blood sample of hers to test for anything abnormal. Oliver walks in and asks Chloe how she's doing. She says fine. He doesn't believe her. He tells Chloe that they are going to save Clark.

    Meanwhile Clark, bound to the scarecrow post with the kryptonite necklace on, struggles to understand why his father's doing this. Jonathan says he's not doing any of this. Even if he wanted to, he couldn't. Clark has to figure it out on his own.

    The female soldiers carry the bandaged man over to the rectangular cage and place him in it, as Granny and Dessad stand at the bottom by the pit. They close the cage and begin turning the crank to lower it into the pit.

    Black Canary lets out her cry on two female soldiers at the cavern opening. They grab their ears in pain and are both shot with taser arrows. The arrows hit them and electrocute them, but they recover VERY quickly. Adam and Oliver are forced to go hand to hand with them, as is Black Canary. They fight them and defeat them, but only after Oliver uses his knockout gas. Adam asks why he didn't use that first. Oliver says it's because it was his last one and he was hoping to save for when they needed it.

    Cut to Adam and Oliver carrying Clark through the cavern.

    Chloe and Dinah scout ahead as Oliver and Adam brought Clark in behind.

    Oliver questions Adam's identity as they carry Clark. Adam rebuffs him.
