When he changes the past, Barry should give himself specific instructions to become the Flash and get close to Cisco and Caitlyn; certainly Joe and Iris are still in his life.

i think he still does but he wont till like a few years after he did this time. Like the explosion happens but reverse flash made it happen earlier on purpose.

He became the Flash in the original timeline. Wells intended this timeline to not have the Flash but he lost connection to the Speedforce so he needed to create the Flash.

He could still become The Flash but not for another 5 or 6 yrs. Didnt Eobard say it originally was gonna happen in 2020 so he had to move up the event? So technically he couldve still become The Scarlet Speedster just later on.

Either he has to wait 5 years or he can try to find the real HW and maybe have him help Barry to become the Flash.
