I agree the current Ward is a much more dynamic character then straight laced SO Ward from season 1. I would be mad if they kill him now that he is interesting.

On Mack, I love the character however his main role on the show is as a crutch for Fitz, and someone to rival his friendship with Simmons. Now that Simmons is back he is not needed unless they are planning on continuing that storyline and continue to drive a wedge between Fitz and Simmons.
