She hasn't made a big screen film in 12 years. We'll see how this pans out. It's stupid to insist on female directors there simply aren't enough good ones out there (it seems). Btw some speculation says MM left because she and Snyder didn't see eye to eye on the flick. Seems Zacky is the big boss of the DCCU. I like it. He's alpha.

One of the rumors is that Zack wanted the movie to be set during the Crimean War and Michelle McLaren wanted the movie set during WWI.

Crimean War makes sense because it was hardly filmed so Wonder Woman could've helped with the war and she still wouldn't have been as well known.

If she helped in WWI or WWII it would be hard for people to not remember her because those wars had a lot of coverage.

Couldn't the people just remember Wonder Woman? Otherwise the movie risks these heroes popping out of nowhere. The more integrated these characters are with the universe the better. Maybe it's just me but I wasn't impressed with MoS' world building because all it did was put Superman in our world. A Wayne satellite here and there didn't really help because they were "blink and you'll miss it" moments.

Then again a WWI & II origin might be too similar to Captain America.

The Trojan war would be a good choice.

Having Liam cast would certainly make the Hemsworth family reunion's more entertaining.

    From CBR:

Warner Bros.' upcoming "Wonder Woman" film looks close to adding a major name to its cast: Variety reports that "Star Trek" franchise star Chris Pine is "in negotiations" to join the production as Steve Trevor, the DC Comics icon's frequent love interest.

Directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot in the title role, "Wonder Woman" is scheduled for release on June 23, 2017.

According to the Empire Magazine article about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Patty Jenkins is in London doing prepreduction for Wonder Woman. It will film there this Autumn.
