Well surprise, surprise ...Gotham City Sirens is unofficially/officially dead. According to The Wrap Margot Robbie has three DC films coming up: The first is the Suicide Squad sequel; set to start production late this year, the second movie is The Birds of Prey and third is The Joker & Harley Quinn movie.

I thought Gotham City Sirens was always suppose to include the Birds of Prey when it was first announced. I just think they changed the branding because Birds of Prey are a team of heroes and Gotham City Sirens is a trio of villains or anti-heroes.
Margot Robbie originally pitched it as something like Gotham City Sirens vs Birds of Prey.
The movie still has the same writer and creative team if I'm not mistaken.
Lets just assume that Aquaman, Wonder Woman 2 and Shazam are the only certainities at this point. Everything else is in standard WB developmental hell.
Yet, with all these movies in development limbo hell only 3 are guaranteed (Aquaman, Wonder Woman 2 and Shazam)..that’s just sad. And even by the time the final film of these 3 hits theaters, Marvel will have had 6+ (excluding the X-Men/Deadpool spin off films) more films in their ever growing library of films. What will it take for DC to get their act together?
What they really need is two high quality films that people like in a row. Look at the Batman franchise, as an example. After Clooney and Robin, Batman Begins was an excellent movie, but look at how much money it made. It only made $374m worldwide. It wasn't until The Dark Knight dropped that they had their box office explosion.
They need a really good/great film followed by a second really good/great film. They landed Wonder Woman, but then Justice League happened. They probably have wiggle room with Wonder Woman 2, but if that one is good, they need a second hit to prove to everyone, "we can do more than just make Wonder Woman movies".
If they ever make a documentary about the mess that is the WB/DC movie division (where as the TV branch of DC is continuously expanding; love or hate the shows) is going to be a fascinating watch. At this point a documentary would come out faster than any of the dozens “in development” projects including the half dozen Joker movies (how are they planning all these Joker movies yet can’t get a standalone Batman or even a MOS sequel off the ground?)

They have (reportedly) 2 Jokers but they may not have a Batman if the Affleck rumors are true. Amazing.
No doubt about it. A documentary about the inner workings at Warner Brothers over the last 3 years would be huge. It would definitely gross more than Justice League and they wouldn't even have to spend 300 million on it or digitally erase any moustaches.
