Maybe this will allow Rocksteady to work on other DC Comics properties like Justice League.

        1: That looks incredible.

2: I love how they call it the finale to the Arkham trilogy... like Origins never even happened in their eyes. I mean, what a giant (deserved) middle finger to that game.

          Some new details:

          • Last Batman game for Rocksteady, will work on something totally new next.
          • There will be a brand new villain, something made by Rocksteady that they say will be the ultimate test for Batman
          • Batmobile can be called at any moment with a button.
          • The city streets are much wider to allow for the batmobile. You will rocket jump off ramps and do all sorts of cool maneuvers.
          • You can eject jump out of the batmobile right into a super fast glide straight through the glass of a building to knock out enemies. They said glass breaking will be a big new thing.
          • New moves include being able to use all your gadgets during flight. You now have a counter throw where you counter a guy and throw him into another guy. A new quick ground takedown. A quick backflip where you then throw a batarang in an enemies face.
          • For the predator sections you can now chain takedowns of up to four enemies. For instance pop out of a grate and take one guy, jump to the next and so on. You can now enter grates from a distance, he will automatically do a jump or roll to enter them.
          • Riddler challenges seem to be car based. The first one has you enter a sort of Riddler race track where you have to activate walls and ramps, when you activate one another closes so as you drive you have to be constantly turning on and off these ramps as you navigate the course.
          • Batmobile fires missles and stun guns. It destroys anything it touches so if you bump into cars the cars go flying. It's basically unstoppable.
          • Story is that after Joker's death all the criminals decided to work together and their plan comes together this night where they plan to kill batman. The article talks mostly about Scarecrow, he scattered bombs throughout Gotham.
          • Oracle will play a larger role, you get to visit her base and talk to her, tons of batman easter eggs included.
          • Kevin Conroy is Batman, all the previous voice actors are back.
          • Gothom City is 5 times bigger than AC. Split into 3 areas. NO LOAD TIMES at all, entering buildings is seemless.
          • They spend a bunch of time talking about how detailed the models are, one character has more polygons than the environment of Asylum.
          • You can now use the linear launcher on anything to create ziplines. This is done in mid flight so you can quickly land where you want.
          • All enemies now have the ability to grapple Batman, not just big guys.
          • Roads wont have many vehicles, just some thug cars and cop cruisers
          • There can be enemy riots, up to 50 enemies on screen at once.
          • More Riddler type challenges than just racing.

Amazing trailer. I was actually really moved by Thomas Wayne's words.

The details about the actual gameplay sound really ambitious and I look forward to this.

We’ve got a look at how some familiar faces have changed since we last saw them in Arkham City.

Information about Penguin, Two-Face, and Riddler in the Arkham Verse.

“In Arkham City, he’s a collector,” says lead character artist Albert Feliu. “He works out of a museum and he looks like he’s in the mafia.” Arkham City was set during Christmas, so most of the villains were bundled up. Scarecrow’s plot is appropriately timed for Halloween, which necessitates a wardrobe change. “This time, we went for autumnal mafia,” Feliu says, laughing. “We took the coat off, and the concept of Penguin was more of a dirty dude. Obviously his shirt is rolled up and sweaty, and he has food stains on it. But still, he’s really powerful. He’s got a golden chain, as well. We had to be a bit crazy with this character, and working with his design. And we shaved his head. He’s proper filthy, you know. It makes you want to punch him even more.”

"With Two Face, we thought he was a really strong character already,” Feliu says. Half of former prosecutor Harvey Dent was burned by acid, and his clothing has been modified to reflect his scarred exterior and interior. “OK, that was Arkham City; what can we do to make him look different, right? We just rolled up his sleeves and made him look really next-gen. We took some references of really filthy, burnt flesh – which is what we do most of the time, which is quite cool – and tried to make him look as badass as we could.”

If you’ve played Rocksteady’s Arkham games, you know how Batman’s appearance is transformed over the course of each adventure. His cape is increasingly tattered; slashes and gunshots mar his armor; and a five o’clock shadow spreads across Bruce Wayne’s clean-shaven chin. Not only will the Riddler get more actual screen time in Arkham Knight – emerging from the shadows to become a fully realized character – but he evolves over the course of the game as well. Rocksteady says the Riddler will unbutton his shirt, get covered in grime, and become visibly distressed as Batman continues to thwart his plans.
“It’s something we try to put in the characters,” Feliu says. “If you had to work overtime, for example, you would start the night with your jumper on and everything, and as the time went by you’d probably take your jumper off, open your shirt, take your tie off, have a coffee. The Riddler is a character who has a cool framework, and we didn’t want to change it too much – we like his shirts with question marks and silly glasses and greasy hair.”
