a theory that i have wanna know what others think

So here is my theory. If Clark hadn't gone back in time to save Lana I think he would have lost Lana as he did but also his father. I think this because I believe Lionel still would have confronted johnathan about Clarks secret. So he would have still gotten pissed and his heart would have failed. By going back in time Clark did save Lana but it was better all around because he only lost 1 person instead of 2.
