I had an epiphany, literally woke me up from a deep sleep. Pan is not only testing Hook, he is pushing him. Hook tells the truth, but he also when they are either saving Neil or Henry, throws himself in front of a poisoned arrow to save one of the party (Emma or Neil or Henry). Hook falls to the ground and you see the look in Emma's eyes that Hook had seeing her unconscious on the deck of his ship. She runs to him calling him Killian. He makes some snarky comment, "bloody damnation woman, it takes poison to get your attention?" Pan shows up, pleased that Hook is now Killian, gives Emma some leaves from the nightshade says for Hook to chew them. He gets better. Then Emma's walls go up, Hook has none of it and kisses her, walls come crashing down. The end
