      It should not matter. Whomever rubs the bottle summons the genie. Alice's wishes are irrelevant to whom controls the genie. Red Queen has all the real power at the moment, and she does not even know it.

          Never mind just researched the cupcake discussion. It still feels odd though the Queen can not just summon the genie to her. I mean Aladdin having wishes never seemed to be an obstacle to Jafar. Aladdin from what I remember did not even make his final wish until Jafar had made wishes after getting the magic lamp.

            The wishes didn't have physical firm in the Aladdin story, and in this story they do.
