Sounds good. I wonder if Oz is the place where the fairy live.

^ That would definitely make sense.

I thought it was always Purgatory, but the Land of Oz could definitely be the home to fairies.

ETA: I love the vintage cars and motorcycles

From various interviews I get the picture that once they move the computer they break the magic green wall that lets out Dorothy and the Wicked Witch. Dean teams with Charlie, Sam teams with Dorothy. Apparently we get some insights into Sam while he's chatting with Dorothy.

ETA #2: I would like to take a moment to fangirl that Jensen Ackles big complaint was that the Impala was left on the street and he was thrilled they finally found a place for Baby to sleep. This guy is not a method actor but I think his ownership feelings towards that car are genuine.

Hmm...while I will accept this fine if it turns out to be so I guess I am still kind of holding out hope for Oz to be where dead angels and demons go in death. I know the question was just kind of hurled at them when they were asked at Comic-con but yeah.

Why exactly do you think he doesn't apply for "Method"? I think he does a great job in becoming different characters.

So no Cas in this episode? I guess this is the one where Dean kicks him out to die.

I think Jensen Ackles does an AWESOME job and is both a subtle actor and one capable of great range. I was using the term "Method" in the over-simplified version where a Method actor doesn't leave the character behind at the end of each day but keeps somewhat totally immersed in the role. Daniel Day Lewis is said to stay very immersed in his roles when the camera is not rolling. I understand this is a misconception of the term "Method" acting as formally taught in acting school but both J's have said they are not "Method" actors referring to this common misconception. Specifically they've stated that they are not method and they can leave the role behind.** So...while I'm no expert on various acting techniques, my point of my comment is that Jensen's well-documented protectiveness of the Impala is in the vein of immersion but not really -- (hence not "Method") -- I think he just loves the car.

**Although they ARE greatly impacted by the roles sometimes and need time to gear up and wind down for emotional scenes. Examples are Jared in the church scene in Sacrifice and Jensen in the scene where he admits torturing souls in Hell in Heaven and Hell. Most recently Jared said that Jensen told him he only used two takes to get the chapel scene in I Think I'm Going To Like It Here because it was such an emotional scene. That suggests to me the ability to fully immerse into the character IN THE MOMENT. It certainly plays onscreen IMO. But I see this as different than Jensen adopting Dean proprietary feelings towards the Impala in real life.

“Supernatural’s” Winchester boys are about to meet one very unique young woman later this month on The CW series — Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz.”“We find out that Dorothy’s kind of been trapped in the Men of Letters bunker for a long, long, long time and accidentally she is set free, but so is the witch,” Jared Padalecki told a group of reporters, after Warner Bros. flew AccessHollywood.com up to the show’s Vancouver set where they made us their guest recently as the boys dished on Season 9.

“So we have them running around our bunker and we have to employ the help of kind of the coolest computer nerd we know to help us try and figure out what happened and how we can figure out more details on it,” Jared continued of the “Slumber Party” episode, referring to Charlie, a character played by the returning Felicia Day.

The appearance of Dorothy, the famous character from L. Frank Baum’s book (and the 1939 film) into the “Supernatural” storyline for this one-off episode airing on October 29, will produce a myriad of reactions, Jared and Jensen told reporters.

“Dean kind of tries to battle with the fact that there’s an actual Wizard of Oz and there’s an actual Dorothy and it’s all kind of being unfolded in front of him,” Jensen said. “Charlie takes more of the, ‘Well, hello,’ which is amazing because Felicia plays that great. So yeah, you get a lot of different reactions. Sam’s more the business… like, ‘OK. Didn’t expect that, but down to business. How do we fix this situation that we’re in?’”

“We also get to see into Sam’s psyche a little bit because he kind of opens up to Dorothy in ways that he wouldn’t have opened up to Dean or Charlie or Crowley or Kevin or Cas, so he gets to kind of tell her things [because] he knows she’s not gonna be around the next week or he assumes,” Jared chimed in. “He’s just like, ‘I’ll just go ahead and level with you,’ which is nice. We’re gonna see a nice part of Sam.”

The episode will also reveal a greater look at the Men of Letters bunker, including a new spot for Dean’s beloved car.

“There’s a giant garage, which is about time,” Jensen said. “I’ve been begging for that ever since we introduced the Men of Letters ‘cause it’s like, ‘Come on. Really? Just leaving the Impala parked out on the street, cover it up with some bushes and stuff?’ So, baby’s finally got some place to sleep.”

“Supernatural” continues Tuesday at 9/8c on The CW. The “Slumber Party” episode airs on October 29.

Why would Dorothy and a witch be stuck within a place where angels and demons go to when they die?

This isn't rocket science. Jensen is a human being, human beings grow attached to things and fond of them, specially when they have significant meaning/sentimental value. Oh say, I dunno, like something you've worked with for a decade at your favorite job ever, around your favorite people? No reason to over analyze it. Of course he'd grow close/attached to it. Just like both the actors would to some degree merge a little with their characters. Ever noticed yourself changing slightly when around certain people often? I'm assuming it's no different for actors playing a role for a very long time. Not that I'm saying Jensen and Jared aren't there own people, or that they are more Dean/Sam, but I guarantee you they have grown to have a lot of the same traits.

Well done to those who saw the Fairy Land connection. It didn't occur to me until I saw it mentioned here.

Is it too much to ask that they give us some continuity porn back to "Clap Your Hands if You Believe"?
If so, then in theory only Dean should be able to see Fairies unless they want to be seen. That wouldn't apply to Dorothy but maybe to the Witch. BTW, is it me or does it look like Charlie is getting electrocuted by the witch in that one scene.

Also hee..Charlie has gone to plaid. I hope she gets a tatoo.

That would be nice but I'm not sure it's going to happen (I'm wondering if Charlie's reference to Fairyland will lead to her talking about her fairy 'girlfriend' and a shout out to that ep).
