So, it is an incongruence...Jor-el in Kandor tells that the book has a history on Krypton, but in Salvation we know that is a creation of Jor-el only for the orb/kandorian stuff....so is not possibile. Another big plothole.

Zod also claims that he need it it to power the RAO towers and even build a power source for it. (He later said that he dosen't need it and found another way)
Clark used the same power source and flicked the BoR into it and send the Kandorians away.

No, this is make sense, is all a lie to convince the Kandorians to find him and...when is time to activate the towers, then changes his plain to avoid the subject.

Is a simple double-cross, this works.
