300: Rise of an Empire

Didn't see a thread for this and i loved the first one. Hoping this one is as good.





After its victory over Leonidas' 300, the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes marches south towards the major Greek city-states. The Democratic city of Athens, first on the path of Xerxes' army, bases its strength on its fleet, led by admiral Themistocles. Themistocles is forced to an unwilling alliance with the traditional rival of Athens, oligarchic Sparta whose might lies with its superior infantry troops. But Xerxes still reigns supreme in numbers over sea and land.

I didn't know Miller wrote a second book, but I saw the teaser connected to MOS in my theater anyways. It looks like a fun ride.

I don't think he did. This is just a sequel to the first movie.

This looked pretty good, it was the best trailer I saw in front of Man Of Steel.

I thought that at first too but the synopsis that was released stated AFTER Xerxes victory over Leonidas/300. So I'm thinking this is from Xerxes point of view and we'll show how the Persian empire grew to what we know.
