Best episode yet. I know I've said it a bunch, but I adore the way they're going with the villainy here...not evil for evil's sake, but to make the world a better place. Malcolm's speech was heartwrenching.

I'm hoping not. Maybe Oliver's second-father-type feelings will prevent him from killing Malcolm. He does seem pretty emotional about it.

Awesome. A ton of loose ends for the season were tied up, and still two episodes to go. Glad to see Moira was not involved from the beginning. Stunned to learn that Frank planted the bomb on the Queen's Gambit under Malcom's direction. Figured out ahead of time that the "secret" Tommy would tell Laurel was that Oliver still loved her. Amused that the Felicity line in the casino was even more provocative than what had been leaked. And somewhat symbiotic that both Malcom and Moira blame themselves for their spouses' deaths - Malcom by ignoring Rebecca's calls, and Moira by pushing Robert to oppose Malcom's plans. The next two episodes are purported to be better than this one, which will be something to watch because this episode was the best yet.

Walter's not dead! I mean, I thought he'd still be alive, but I thought he'd die during the rescue. So, yay! Because I like him. Although, I'm not sure his marriage has a future. I also wonder if he suspects Ollie is the vigilante. Him calling him "son" was slightly odd. He doesn't have a close relationship with Oliver, like he seems to with Thea. Obviously, a lot of that is due to circumstances.

Rebecca Merlyn's heart-breaking death. I knew that that's what that phone call was when Malcolm didn't answer it. Guess she should have tried 911. But I can forgive her for not thinking clearly, given the circumstances.

I really don't feel like Oliver was that wrong last week (except in not calling Diggle to let him know his plans had changed), so I couldn't really get behind that storyline tonight.

I'm don't like love triangles, and Tommy seems determined not to put himself in one, so that's good. I do like Tommy, so glad he's not being the bad guy. Still keeping Oliver's secret, and he even told Laurel that's who she should be with, so he does seem to be looking out for her happiness. As does Oliver, when he encourages Laurel to patch things up with Tommy. The thing is, neither of them is giving the information to make an informed decision. She doesn't need to be taken care, she needs actual honesty. It would lovely, IMO, if she might return the favor by trying to help them be happy and patch up their friendship. Of course, she doesn't really know the magnitude of what's going on there, I guess. Let her think about them and their feelings, too. I really do like the three of them being friends.

Felicity was amusing, as usual. It was nice to see care about what happened with Walter. As previously mentioned, I wasn't as much for the patch-up for Diggle and Oliver because of how it was handled.

Frank...Moira....those two. Doesn't excuse either of them.

It was good to see that Thea really cares about Walter. That was nice. But the biggies were, of course, Oliver learning about Malcolm and Moira. Huge deal. Firstly, all the angst with his mother being involved. Huge issue that he has been in denial about. I was a little surprised he leaped to such negativity about her and her involvement - I'd have thought Walter being a hostage would be a perfect reason for him to hand-wave away his involvement, given his previous reaction. Still, nice that he cares about her lying Thea, too. I was a little surprised at the past-potrayal of Moira - I'd expected she'd go-alongy-in-fear than she was.

And Malcolm - Oliver is going to make sure he gets his. He has to realize Malcolm had the boat sabotaged. But he doesn't know he's the Dark Archer yet. Don't know that would change his plans, though. And will he tell Tommy anything? He has a recording, so it's not just his word against Malcolm, right? Of course, his own mother is involved, too. He's not as close to Tommy as he once was, and Tommy has no useful skills to bring to the table, so I could see him not telling Tommy. Then again, he might decide honesty is best, I don't know. I doubt he'll be recruiting Tommy to see what Tommy could learn about the Undertaking - him trying to learn from Moria seems more logical. And I've no idea how Tommy would respond. If he'd told Tommy (and provided evidence) back before the attempt on Malcolm's life, I think Tommy would have had his back, but now, I just don't know. Especially since Oliver is killing criminals, too, and because Rebecca was brought up. But he did kidnap innocent Walter, which the vigilante has not done.

As for what exactly the Undertaking is and how Unidac fits in - I'm willing to wait on that, instead of speculating. BTW, am I the only one who laughed at their prototype actually coming out on schedule?

    The Undertaking

Wow! That was incredible!!! In one season Arrow has shown it is miles ahead of Smallville (and I enjoy SV).

    Cool This episode ROCKED!!

I was so happy Oliver saved Walter and that he and Diggle made up. I absolutely loved it when Oli threw the gauntlet down in front of Malcolm Merlyn. The title match is a-coming, folks!

And I really felt awful for Oliver when he found out Moira is working with Malcolm, which was something Diggle had been pointing out all along.

I like where things are going and I am waiting with baited breath for next week's episode!

A lot has moved forward in this episode, especially relating to Oliver when he gets Walter Steele back and is starting to move forward with Dinah Laurel, who breaks up with Tommy as he makes his true confession. We get to see what the Undertaking is all about in the flashbacks and what happened before Oliver went to the yacht. We also have Felicity being in the field since Diggle benched himself. Now, Oliver now knows what is going on with Moira and Malcolm while trying to reconcile with Diggle. This is the first of the 3-part finale that will feel like a Green Arrow live-action movie if you put together the episodes seamlessly. One of the best episodes of the season.

A lot of things happened in the episode and a few things got resolved that had been left hanging for a long time. No Roy and cheating Oliver was the worst part.

The Past: We learn why Malcolm is so bent on destroying the Glades, he is a psychopath. Well that was obvious from the beginning, he forced himself to listen to his wife’s dying please for help over-and-over again making his already “god complex” mind snap. Mr. Queen killed a bad guy in the glades and Malcolm has basically been blackmailing him into being part of the undertaking ever since. I really never liked Malcolm. Mr. Queen tells Moira about Malcolm’s plans and Moira tries to convince him otherwise. The guy that Moira got killed for blaming him for the assassination attempt on Malcolm’s life, he planted the bomb on the Queen’s Gambit that killed Sarah and her husband. So Moira got her revenge in a way.

#Olicity: Really the best scenes were between these two or her and Diggle or Oliver and Diggle. Oliver can’t say no to a pretty face it seems, he gets convinced by Felicity pretty quickly to help him out. Casino fight scene was awesome. Felicity’s one liners are of course awesome. Her reaction to the supposed death of Walter was beautiful in a sad way (I really think there is a missing scene where they comfort each other). I’m glad that Oliver finally took Felicity’s advice and went to apologize to Diggle. They deserve to be together like a dynamic trio.

Oliver/Laurel: The pizza scene with the stealthy DCU shout out. The obvious saying good bye but Oliver can’t actually say good bye to Laurel scene right before going out on the Queen’s Gambit. Laurel being surprised by the two men in her life telling her what everyone around her already knows. The best scene was her meeting Felicity, Laurel being suspicious of her in a jealous kind of way (Laurel ships #olicity).

Saving Walter/Discovering Moira & Malcolm’s involvement. It is really satisfying to an audience when the hero finally catches up to what the audience already knows. Great job on how Oliver finds out, worried about his mother’s reaction to the news of Walter’s supposed death. Then his reaction in the hospital to Malcolm, he learned a lot more then just fighting skills on the island.

Really I am on the edge of my seat on what they can do to make the final two episodes better then this one. Great job to all involved, especially the stunt team.

    BRAIN BUZZ!!!!!!!!

Okay, now that that's out of my system... I freaking loved this episode. The action and the way Ollie went through leaps and bounds. The way he and Malcolm confronted each other with subtle innuendos confirms in my mind that Malcolm has strong suspicions as to Oliver's true identity now.

I cannot wait for the next episode, because the promo pics show Ollie in GA outfit questioning Moira in a scene reminiscent of the one she put him in during the pilot.

Felicity's sexually-worded comments were great, as always. Laurel looked pissed when she saw Felicity.

Robert's 'loss' was interesting... now, to my reaction about the truth behind the List:

HOLY **** THE LIST WAS THE ORIGINAL ATTEMPT TO TURN THE GLADES AROUND BEFORE THE UNDERTAKING BEGAN!!! DIDN'T SOMEONE ON THIS BOARD SUGGEST THE LIST HAD SOME DIFFERENT ROLE THAN PEOPLE WHO WERE PART OF THE UNDERTAKING? WHOEVER IT WAS, GOOD ON YOU! ARE YOU A PROPHET, BY CHANCE?

Sorry for the CAPS, but this episode was just freaking exciting, and they're saying next week's is even more, and the finale is 'bonkers'. I'm beginning to wonder if testing their suggestion would be foolhardy on my part...

Felicity. Was. SMOKING HOT!.........just saying! :P

Really enjoyable episode. I liked seeing Oliver before the Queen's Gambit. It's like a whole nother personality. I'm starting to wonder how Moira got involved in everything? Lot of loose ends tied up though about the origins of the Undertaking. Great, action packed episode.

One thing they need to be careful with though is to not make the action unbelievable. I was questioning if Oliver really had it in him to take on that many bad guys at once. I also felt that the Walter stuff in this episode was resolved a little too quickly. All in one episode he's alive, dead, alive again, captured and then rescued.

Glad Oliver and Diggle are back together! Can't wait to see what happens!
