I haven't been to the movies for quite some time.

I'm not willing to pay 11 to 14 for some 3D crap I'm not going to enjoy anyway.

Half a decade ago we went to the movies about twice a month. We'd watch all kinds of movies for 6 a visit. Then 3D came and a bit "inflation" and the prices went up (4 just for the 3D part).

And sicne we also pay an "overlength" fee and most movies with special effects now have end credits that roll for 15 minutes alon you almost always pay the fee.

Now I just observe the prices on Amazon and buy the Blu-ray eventually.

With 3D and big screen, movie tickets can reach $25 in Australia.

We saw Moonstruck a couple weeks ago. It was really cool watching it outdoors in Little Italy where we live. It's in my top ten all-time favorite movies. I loved it but it's not my boyfriends type of movie. *sighs*

Dracula Untold. Amazing movie and the fact that it was really short helped it. It was fast paced and i wanted to see more.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2. It wasn't as fun as the first one...relied too much on crude humor. I'd give it a grade: D.

We just recently saw The Avengers: Age of Ultron. It wasn't bad.

San Andreas with the Rock in 3-D/XD. Not a bad popcorn movie. I'd give it B-.
