He is very good as a nice, friendly, smart and supportive man.

I like the idea of the show but why did they change the original title?

The title of the Mamie Gummer-fronted medical drama First Cut was changed to Emily Owens, M.D because, for one, First Cut didn’t quite capture the essence of the show. Plus, “Since Mamie is so talented and so great in the show, we decided to go with her character’s name.”

'First cut' sounded better...

Maybe Mamie Gummer can get her mother to make a special appearance.

First Cut does sound a lot better but the new title may work better. Now people know more about what the show is about. Firs t cut was kinda vague though I liked it.

Hey now... there was a time when Tuesdays at 9 was the best slot on the WB... Smallville and Supernatural both started there, didn't they?

I'm just not sure if there's a "hook" to get people in for the night. I love Hart Of Dixie, but I think two quirky doctor shows in one night is overkill.
