Not a Katie Cassidy fan. Not sure if I will watch Arrow knowing she's to play my second favorite DC character. I'll probably give the pilot a shot, but if Katie becomes too over bearing I might not continue with it. Who knows.

Regarding casting for Laurel's mother, I think Helen Slater would be perfect for the role of Laurel's mom if she appears on the show.

In the pilot she was talking to a client named Danielle DiDio, who was mostly left on the cutting room floor. There was a whole subplot there that was lost for the most part.

As for Laurel's mom... Lori Loughlin? Kidding. I think I saw someone who would be perfect but I have now forgotten who that was. Whoever it is, I hope her mom is the original Black Canary like in the comics, and that's why the Lance family feels like they do about vigilantes.

Hey, I liked Lori Loughlin as Dinah Sr.

I'm really hoping that they did the name change to avoid confusion when they bring Laurel's mom into the show. I could see her being named after her mom but going by her middle name to avoid confusion/to establish her individuality from her mother.

Andy-Helen Slater would be an awesome choice too.

Or since Dinah Sr. is brunette too, Lynda Carter would be really awesome.
