EXT-DAILY PLANET ROOFTOP-MID-DAY

Orion and Superman still talking. The god circles Superman holding his chin thinking.

Orion
I don’t think you know what your asking.

Superman
Yes, I do. I need to get to Apokolips, Darkseid has Lois. He’s done something to her.

Orion
She’s gone then. I’m sorry. Once Granny brain washes her she belongs to him.

Superman(grabs Orion)
No! Not Lois!


Orion(calmly)
Let go of me, now.

Superman lets him go.

Orion
If you want to god so badly and most likely get killed in the process. Darkseid will kill you.

Orion takes out a boom tube controller and opens a boom tube. Superman walks towards it.

Orion
Apokolips is nothing you ever seen. Be on your guard hero.

Superman nods and enters the boom tube.

CUT TO:

INT-APOKOLIPS DARKSEID’S THRONE ROOM

We see Darkseid on the throne with an evil smirk on his face. Desaad is by his side.

Desaad
Lord Darkseid, a boom tube was just opened on Earth to here.

Darkseid
It’s the kryptonian. Here for his pet. Change of plans ready the furies.

Desaad
What of the next part of plan?

Darkseid
I want to break this Superman. Watch as the person he loves kills him. Then kill her. Any more questions.

He gives Desaad a severe look. The stooge backs away in fear.

Desaad
No my liege. I’ll tell Granny to ready the Furies.

CUT TO:

DARKSEID’S TOWER BARDA’S ROOM

We see Barda sitting on the ground looking over her necklace. We begin to hear voice over of two teens. A boy and a girl.

Teen Boy(V.O.)
I’ll com back for you I promise. I love you, Barda.

Barda(V.O.)
Scott!!

Her doors opened revealing Lashina with mischievous grin.

Lashina
Darkseid’s summoned us. The kryptonian Superman is here.

Big Barda
On Apokolips. He’s truly a fool.

Lashina
What mortals do for love.

Lashina is smiling oddly at Barda as she just nods. Lashina walks out as Barda clutches the necklace in her hand to her chest.

CUT TO:

EXT-APOKOLIPS

We see Superman flying over Apokolips as he sees statues monuments of Darkseid. He’s disgusted by what he sees next. Darkseid’s slaves looking up at him in fear while others work.

Superman
If this isn’t hell, I don’t know what is. I have to get Lois out of here.

Cut off on Superman skyrocketing towards Darkseid’s Tower.

INT-UNKNOWN ROOM

We see Lois back in the machine(3.01 Genesis) while Granny Goodness flips a switch. Lois whelps in pain.

Granny Goodness
Your purpose is to serve Lord Darkseid. His will is the only will. Superman is an enemy of Darkseid and must die!

She turns off the machine. Granny releases her from the machine.

Granny Goodness
Are alright child?

Lois Lane
My purpose is to serve Darkseid and follow his will.

Granny Goodness
And his will is?

Lois Lane
Kill Superman.

Cut off on Granny’s mischievous grin.

CUT TO:

DARKSEID THRONE ROOM

We see Darkseid sitting on his Throne still. We start to hear the ceiling rumbling as pieces of rocks start to come down. The ceiling caves in as Superman comes crashing down. He looks to Darkseid with stern look. The god of Apokolips unafraid but amused.

Darkseid
Superman. Welcome to Apokolips.

Superman
Where’s Lois? What have you done to her!?

Darkseid
Oh you mean your pet, she’s here.

The god stands up.

Darkseid(CONT’D)
But I don’t think she wants to leave.

Superman
You’re going to set her free and release whatever hold you have on her or-

Darkseid
Or what!? We both know you can’t defeat me. And this time High Father can’t save you. This is my domain!

Superman’s expression shows doubt but he tries to hide it. Darkseid sees it and smiles.


Darkseid
Don’t worry Kryptonian, you’re not worth the trouble. Furies!!

The Female Furies stand in the entrance way of the Throne room lined up: Mad Harriet, Stompa, Big Barda centered out front and then Lashina.

Superman
Where’s Lois?

Lois Lane
Right here.

She walks from behind Darkseid’s Throne chair. Superman looks relieved but turns concerned and disbelief her arm wrapped around Darkseid.

Superman
Don’t worry Lois I’m going to get you of here, I promise.

Lois Lane
You failed to understand. I’m not going anywhere, I belong to Darkseid. His will is my will.

Superman(angered)
No. No!!!

Superman flies towards Darkseid in rage. The Furies run towards him Before Superman can reach the god, Lois intervenes forcing the man of steel to hesitate. She takes advantage and then punches him in the face sending him flying into the wall.

Lois Lane
You will not harm Lord Darkseid.

Superman gets up looks at Lois in disbelief.

Superman
Lois, You have to fight it. This isn’t you.

Pan to Lashina using her whips attaching to Superman’s arm. Then Stompa jumps high and comes crashing down on him creating small crack on the bridge. Still held by the whips Lashina repels him towards her but Superman clutches the ground stopping himself. He then grabs her whips and hurls Lashina towards himself and follows up with right hook to the face. The force sends her flying into the wall. She slides down unconscious. Darkseid looks displeased.

Darkseid
You bested one Superman, she was the weakest link but can you best the remaining three plus your pet.

Big Barda, Mad Harriet, Stompa, and Lois circle him. Superman looks to Lois wondering how to get through to her.

3.02 Furies Act IV and V

ACT IV

INT-DARKSEID’S TOWER

The Furies continue to surround Superman. Darkseid expression is amusement.

Superman
We don’t have to do this. I’m here for her and her only.

Big Barda
I don’t think you grasp the situation Superman, you don’t make demands on Apokolips.

Mad Harriet
Should of stayed on Earth lover boy.

Harriet extends her claws.

Superman
If that’s how you want it.

Mad Harriet runs towards Superman claws equipped. He swiftly dodges and then catches her hand effortlessly before she gets to his face. She tries to use her other hand but the man of steel squeeze her wrist. Harriet yelps in pain as he holds her wrist. Then Superman back hands her into the wall. Darkseid starts to get furious. Stompa runs wildly towards him and tackles him through the wall leading to another area of the tower. She punches Superman repeatedly until he catches Stompa’s right fist and delivers a hard uppercut knocking her through the ceiling. Superman gets up and sees Lois in the broken wall way.

Superman
I can never hurt you Lois, you have to fight whatever controlling you.

Lois Lane
Too bad, I want to hurt you.
Lois jumps kicks him in the chest knocking him further in the room. Big Barda follows behind observing. Superman gets up as Lois dashes and begins swinging with a fury. Superman dodges and block not wanting to harm Lois.

Superman
Lois! Stop! It’s me Clark!

He catches her hands preventing from punching him.

Superman
I love you Lois, remember.

Lois hesitates. Big Barda ponders and we begin to her teenage kids talking.

Teenage Scott Free(V.O.)
I love you, Barda. Always and Forever.

Teenage Barda(V.O.)
Oh Scott.

She snaps out of her trance. Looks to Lois and Superman. Hesitate for a moment.

Superman
Lois?

Lois Lane
Clark? I-(control comes back) My will is Darkseid’s!

Big Barda(to Superman)
You must make her remember to break the control.

Superman eyes Big Barda cautiously wondering why she’s helping.

Superman
How?

Big Barda
Maker her remember the love you have for each other. If it’s strong as you believe it should break Darkseid’s control.

Granny Goodness(O.S.)
Barda! You disappointed Granny. And Granny doesn’t like to be disappointed.

Pan to Granny and the Furies in stance behind her.

Lashina
I knew you gotten soft. Still waiting for Scott. How long it’s been Barda.

Barda squints eyes annoyed. Superman looks to Lois with compassion and love. She’s trying to break Superman’s grip who’s holding her tight.

Superman
Lois, I need you listen and remember us. What we mean to each other. All the years we’ve been together friends, partners, and lovers.

He kisses her lovingly. Lois tries to resist but then she gives in. The Furies roll their eyes. Flashes of Lois memories appear on screen. From Clois scenes on Smallville(Seasons 4-7) and Man of Steel episode 2.10 Loyalty as Lois and Clark dancing. Then to Clark revealing himself(2.15 Fragment) and them kissing in 2.16 Awakening. Lois memory slowly comes back.

Lois Lane
Clark?

She wraps her arms around him before she falls unconscious. He catches her and holds her securely. Then eyes the Furies and Granny sternly.

Granny Goodness
Such a disappointment.

Superman
So you keep saying.

Granny Goodness
Furies!

Big Barda(tosses Superman a boom tube controller)
Get out of here. I’ll handle them.

Superman
I won’t leave you behind. Come with me.

Big Barda
I’m waiting on the next train. Plus you said you came for her only. Now Go!

Superman(hesitate)
Thank you.

Superman opens the boom tube. Stompa tries to jump and stop them but Barda takes her baton connects them creating a staff then knocks Stompa back. Superman then exits with Lois in the boom tube.

Granny Goodness
Granny must do some reprogramming.

Darkseid
Yes. Yes she does. Furies teach Granny the price of failure.

Granny Goodness
No. No. Please Lord Darkseid. Have Mercy.

Darkseid
This is my mercy.

The Furies drag Granny off while she screams in torment leaving Big Barda and Darkseid alone.

Darkseid
As for you Barda.

Cut off on Darkseid eyes glowing with omega.

[FADE OUT][ACT IV ENDS][COMMERCIAL BREAK]

ACT V

EXT-LEXCORP-NEXT DAY

We see the Lexcorp sign of as the sun shines bright reflecting on the mirrors.

CUT TO:

INT-LEXCORP LEX’S OFFICE

We see Lex staring off into space on the right we see a bottle of scotch. As he drinks a glass we hear a voice of woman on speaker phone.

Woman(speaker)
Sorry Mr. Luthor, I’ve called every specialist you asked and they all say the same thing..

Lex Luthor
I can’t be cured, the radiation poison is fatal.


Woman(speaker)
I’m so sorry, Mr. Luthor.

Lex throws the phone in anger and then the glass. He looks at his right hand. In first person view we see what he’s looking at which is black mark of dead skin forming.

Cut off on a worried and upset Lex.

EXT-LOIS’S BALCONY

We see Lois wearing her blue jeans and white tank top. She leaning over the rails. Flashes of her ordeal on Apokolips go through her mind. Pan to Clark in the door way looking at Lois. He sighs wondering how the conversation is going to go.

CUE IN
THE ACTION IS RISING BY ARMY OF ONE

Clark is concerned as he sees Lois staring out.

Clark Kent
Lois, are you okay?

Lois Lane
You mean side from the fact that a crazy Martha Stewart wannabe brainwashed me to steal from Star Labs. Just peachy Smallville. How are you.

Clark Kent
I’m sorry. I should of made sure you were safe before just taking on Darkseid.

Lois Lane
It’s not your fault Clark. Considering what was going on at the time.

Clark nods and walks to the balcony rail next to her.

Clark Kent
Perry says take all the time you need but knowing you. You’re ready to come back now.

Lois Lane
I’ll be back to work tomorrow Smallville, Lois Lane’s back in action.

Clark smiles and cups her face lovingly. She holds his hand loving his touch.

Clark Kent
I was so worried that I lost you.

Lois Lane
You know me, it’s going take more to keep this army brat down.

He could hear the crack in her voice.

Lois Lane
Besides we have more important things to discuss. Like…(she finger lines a S on her chest)you being Superman.

He sighs and nods.

Clark Kent
Right.

Lois Lane
All this time, Even before Superman. Back in Smallville, the miraculous saves, mysterious disappearances.

Clark Kent
Yes. It’s the reason why I left that night you we were so suppose to meet up at the Talon. My training was to begin. I wanted to tell you so many times. But I was afraid.

Lois Lane
Someone would use me to get to you.

Clark Kent
Which they already did. Darkseid used you to lure me to Apokolips just to have you kill me. He’s new breed evil I ever faced.

Lois Lane
You sound almost scared.

Clark doesn’t reply. Lois doesn’t push the issue.

Lois Lane
Me being a reporter will always lead into dangerous situations whether it’s Metallo, Toyman, or Darkseid. Not being Clark Kent’s girlfriend.

Clark Kent
You do take unnecessary risk.

Lois Lane
Only to obtain truth.

Clark Kent
So, where do we go from here. I mean the reason you broke up the first time because the world needs Superman, that being with me would be selfish. Does that still stand?

Lois looks at him seriously and then smirk amused. She then grabs his face compassionately.

Lois Lane
The world needs Superman but I need Clark Kent.

Clark smiles and they kiss on the balcony. Their faces our inches apart.

Lois Lane
Lex knows your secret Clark.

Clark Kent
Don’t worry about Lex.

Lois Lane
Darkseid is still out there. He’s bigger threat then them all.

Clark Kent
Let’s just worry about right now. I got you back and I’m never letting you go.

Lois smiles as they kiss passionately on the balcony. The song comes close to an end.

Cut off on Lois and Clark kissing.

INT-APOKOLIPS X-PITS BARDA’S PRISON CHAMBERS

We see Big Barda subdued with metal chains hooked to the wall. Darkseid stands before her with grim horrifying look.

Darkseid
You disappoint me Barda. I chose you to lead the Furies with your rage and skills. But you’ve became weak with emotion. Hopefully time in the pits will re-harden your soul. 1000 years in the pits.

Big Barda
He will come and I will never serve you again. My will is my will only.

Darkseid grunts.

Darkseid
We shall see.

Darkseid walks from the chambers He walks out the X-Pits. We’re focused on the chamber Barda as electricity field fills up the whole room. The song ends.

The camera is focused on a banner that says

We see Lois sitting at her desk Clark is behind her holding both her shoulders. Perry, Jimmy, Ron, and Lucy crowd her desk as the rest of her colleagues celebrate her return around the office.

Perry White
Tell you Lois, the planet hasn’t been the same without you.

Lois Lane(mockingly)
Oh really chief.

Perry White(jokingly)
Well Yes…It was always a fresh full coffee made every morning.

Lois Lane(smirks)
I’ll try to keep a fresh batch.

Perry smiles shaking his head.

Perry White
Great to have you back Lois, so I suppose taking it easy isn’t on your agenda.

We see Lois and Clark entering backstage.

Lois Lane

Clark Kent(teasing)
What’s wrong Lois, don’t like the circus.

Lois Lane
I love the circus, who doesn’t enjoy the rides, cotton candy, the long lines loud noisy kids.

Clark raises an eyebrow.

Lois Lane
My point being I rather we follow on Lex leaving the states. And I know your know something about that, might as well spill Smallville.

Clark notices Mr. Haley.

Clark Kent(avoiding)
Look, it’s the circus owner.

Clark walks to Mr. Haley. Lois shakes her wondering what Clark could be hiding.

INT-BOSTON BRAND’S TRAILER

We’re inside Boston’s trailer the camera panels around the trailer as we see posters of Deadman performance promotional ads and awards. Pan to the opening slowly.

CUT TO:

INT-HALEY’S CIRCUS BACKSTAGE

Clark, Lois , and Mr. Haley are talking.

Mr. Haley
Surprised the Daily Planet wants to interview old circus ringmaster especially the famous Lois Lane and Clark Kent.
No big story here.

Lois Lane(under breath)
Isn’t that the truth.

Clark Kent
The Daily Planet covers the world sir.

Lois Lane
Big or small.

Clark eyes her disapprovingly. Mr. Haley nods.

Lois Lane(blunt)
So how is the circus handling the deaths of the Flying Grayson’s?

Mr. Haley
What happen to the Grayson’s was a tragedy. They were family. I miss them everyday, glad their son is doing okay.
Lois jots some notes down and looks to Deadman ads.

Lois Lane
Seems you have a new act, now.

Mr. Haley
Ah yes, Deadman.

CUT TO:

BOSTON BRAND’S TRAILER

We see a man snooping around the trailer. The camera focuses on his hook for a right hand. Pan to Boston is his Deadman uniform.

Boston Brand
What are you doing here? Who are you?

The mysterious Hook man turns to face him armed with a gun(silencer). Boston puts his hands up nervously.

Boston Brand
Look, not much money, take whatever you want and leave.

The Hook abruptly shoots him in the chest. Then walks over his body Boston is struggling to breathe. He’s trying to say no to the hook man. The Hook places left gloved hand over Boston’s nose causing him to suffocate on his blood and dies instantly due to the bullet wounds. Then the he walks out the trailer.

CUT TO:

EXT-BOSTON’S TRAILER

We see Mr. Haley leading Lois and Clark to Boston’s trailer.

Clark Kent
Thanks for letting us interview Boston, I know the show is about to start and we promise not to take long.

Mr. Haley
Not a problem at all Mr. Kent. Deadman loves the press.

They enter the trailer.

BOSTON’S TRAILER

Mr. Haley
Hey Boston, the press is- Dear Lord.

Lois and Clark look to see Boston’s lifeless body. Clark is sadden.

Lois Lane(to Clark)
Really starting to change my feelings on circuses.

Cut off on Lois and Clark wondering who could of killed Boston Brand.

INT-BOSTON’S TRAILER

We see yellow caution tape around the crime scene. Lois is on the phone. She hangs up and walks over to Clark.

Lois Lane
Perry wants us on the story. So did you find anything with your you know-

Signals x-ray with her hands.

Clark Kent
X-ray the whole trailer, nothing. Whoever did this had to be professional.

Lois Lane
Who would want to kill a circus performer.

Clark Kent
I don’t know but we need to find out.

Mr. Haley approaches them.

Mr. Haley
Start to think my circus is cursed.

Clark Kent
I’m sorry. But is there any reason someone will kill Boston Brand?

Mr. Haley
No. Sweetest guy you can know. Loved the circus performing. But he was a mystery guy hired a few months ago. He was a instant hit. People loved him and he love the fans.

Lois face saddens as does Clark’s.

Lois Lane
Do you know if anyone had a problem with Boston, maybe some who was jealous of his spotlight? Wanted him out the way.

Mr. Haley(offended)
We’re all family here.

Clark Kent
We didn’t mean to offend. Just going over all angles.

He nods and Lois shrugs apologetic. Pan to as we see a Spirit/ghost over Brand’s dead body the ground as the cops go over the room. The spirit is Boston in his Deadman Alex Ross style uniform. He shocked to see his body laying there lifeless.

Boston Brand
What? I don’t understand. What’s going on? It’s not possible.

Voice of a Woman
But it is possible Boston Brand.

Boston Brand(looks around confused)
What? Who said that?

He begins to float up.

Boston Brand
Wait. No!!

As he floats up the surrounding become pitch black. Also we see lost souls wondering in the darkness.

Boston Brand
Where am I? Hell?

Voice of Woman
Neither. This place has no name but what is.

Boston Brand
Uh yeah. Sure. I guess I’ll just be leaving.

Tries to float away but is pull back.

Voice of Woman
No you won’t You have unfinished business Boston Brand.

Boston Brand(frustrated)
What? Who are you?


Voice of Woman
I am Rama Kushna.

We see a huge yellow entity in form of a Buddhist spiritual woman.

Rama Kushna
And wrongs must be amended. You have to find your killer Boston Brand.

Boston Brand
How? I’m dead, if you haven’t notice.

Rama Kushna
You’ll be agent of the spirits and must fix the balance that has been tilted with your murder.

Boston Brand
And if I refuse.

Rama Kushna
Then spend an eternity in limbo.

Boston Brand
Since those are my only choices. I accept now what do I do?

Rama Kushna
Use the powers I’ve give to you. You’ll be able to possess the living to help in your search. Now go!

Boston Brand falls back to the Earthly plane. Rama is gone and returns to the murder scene. Pan to Lois and Clark walking away from Mr. Haley.

Lois Lane
Something just doesn’t add up.

Clark Kent
Yeah why would someone kill a circus trapeze performer.

Lois Lane

CUT TO:

EXT-DOWNTOWN METROPOLIS APARTMENT COMPLEX

The camera is focused on the burning apartment complex. The streets are barricaded as the people watch the firefighters try to do their job putting out the fire. We see a woman and her daughter at a window signaling for help but the smoke start to rise higher.

Firefighter(to Fire Chief)
We can’t get into the building both entrance are blocked.

Fire Chief
We have to get those people out of there!

CUT TO:

INT-APARTMENT 220

We see fire rising and the woman holding her daughter’s hand who’s terrified. She tries to exit out the door but the fire rises blocking the exit. She sits by the closet with her daughter.

Woman
It’s going to be okay.

CUT TO:

EXT-APARTMENT COMPLEX

Everyone is looking worried as the firefighters try enter the building. Tilt up to the sky as we see Superman fly through the window through the fire.

INT-APARTMENT 220

We see the smoke surrounding the room. The woman and little girl are coughing. The woman holds her daughter as the fire spreads more. Then we hear a wind blow as the fire disperses through out the complex. The lady looks up to see Superman with so much compassion in his eyes.

Superman
Are you okay?

The woman looks to her daughter who is smiling at Superman. She smiles and looks back at the man of steel nodding yes to him.

Superman
Then let’s get you out of here.

Cut off on Superman smiling at the mother and daughter.

INT-DAILY PLANET BULLPEN

We see Lois coming off the elevator with Boston following her. She’s headed to her desk but Perry walks to her.

Perry White
Turned out the circus was more of a story than you thought.

Lois Lane
You can say that again. Instead cotton candy and games. We have murder.

Perry White
Where’s Clark?

Lois Lane
Umm. E’s running down another lead. Trying to find out more Boston Brand aka Deadman.

Boston Brand
It was a guy with a hook for a hand.

They can’t hear him and continue to talk.

He looks to Perry remember what Rama Kushna told him about possessing the living. Boston enters Perry’s body. He looks to Lois who’s looking at him worried.


Lois Lane

Perry White(Deadman)

INT-DAILY PLANET CONFERENCE ROOM

The camera is focused on the door of the room as Lois drags him into the room.

Lois Lane
Okay Perry, this is seriously not funny. And really in poor taste I might add. The guy just died.

Perry White(Deadman)
I promise you Miss Lane I am not joking. It’s me Boston Brand.

Lois Lane(skeptical)
Okay let’s say I believe you, how?

Perry White(Deadman)
Long story short, I’m ghost with unfinished business.

Lois Lane

Perry White(Deadman)

Lois Lane(concerned)

Before she finishes her question, Deadman answers.

Perry White(Deadman)

We see Clark exiting off the elevator and entering center office of the Daily Planet. He runs into Jimmy.

Clark Kent
Hey Jimmy. Where’s Lois?

Jimmy Olsen
With the Chief in the conference room. Something’s going on, they’ve been in there a while.

He looks to the conference room and Jimmy signals him to come.

Clark Kent
Thanks Jimmy.

He goes to walk away but Jimmy stops him.

Jimmy Olsen
Umm. C.K. Lois isn’t mad at me, is she? I mean she doesn’t blame me for what happen?

Clark Kent(sincere)

He pats him on the shoulder and walks to the conference room.

INT-CREED OF ASSASSINS HIDEOUT

We see the Hook Man standing before the Creed Council.

The Hook Man
Have I not proven myself? Where’s Elverado?

Creed Council Member
Elverado is on another mission. I’m in charge.

The Hook Man(annoyed)
Great. I want back into the Creed. I killed the circus act with my hook. It does not hold me back. I’m still efficient.

Council Member 2

Hook Man looks disapprovingly.

We see Lois, Clark, and Perry(Deadman) in the conference room. Lois is typing on a macbook researching as Clark and Perry(Deadman look over her shoulder. Clark looks at him curiously.

Perry White(Deadman)
The way you keep staring at me is making feel comfortable.

Clark Kent
Sorry but, seeing a friend possessed by a dead man has me uneased.

Perry White(Deadman)
As I told Miss Lane, he’s fine.

Clark Kent
Dealt with possession before in high school. She went around killing people.

Clark looks at him unsure and Lois sighs.

They’re are several murders dealing with this hook guy from Gotham to all the way to Coast City.

Clark Kent

No pictures. The guy is basically a ghost.

Perry White(Deadman)
I’m sure I can recognize him when we find him.

Lois Lane
The problem is finding him. We have nothing to go on.

INY-METROPOLIS MAYOR’S OFFICE

We see the Mayor wearing a gray business suit putting up papers in brief case. He’s nervous and worried. The Mayor is trying to rush out the door only to run into The Hook Man. The Mayor’s face is shock and horror.

The Hook Man
What’s the rush, Mr. Mayor?

Metropolis Mayor(terrified)
You’re from the Creed? Aren’t you? Listen, my hands are tied. Tell Elverado I can’t do what he asks.

The Hook Man
Such a shame. Business is business, nothing personal.

Mayor
I am government official. You can’t harm me.


The Hook Man
Harm? No, I’m just going to kill you.

Cut off on the Mayor’s terrified face.

INT-DAILY PLANET CONFERENCE

We see Perry(Deadman) Clark Kent, and Lois Lane all looking at Jimmy with him staring back with serious expression. Then the photographer burst into laughter.

Jimmy Olsen
Seriously, guys stop. You guys were in here all this time to pull my chain.

He notices how serious they were looking and starts die down with his laughter.

Clark Kent
It’s no joke, Jimmy. Boston Brand is looking for the person who murdered him.

Jimmy Olsen(rubbing his hand through his hair)
(sighs) This is crazy, Perry possessed by a ghost of the Deadman.

Lois Lane
We’ve been through crazier things.

Ron storms into the room.

Ron Troupe
Sorry to interrupt but this you guys have to see.

Ron turns on the tv as they all look on intrigued. It’s news report of the Mayor found murdered in his office. Their facial expression are stunned.

Reporter on TV
The body of Mayor Sharp was found in his office by his wife. Not much is know at this point but it maybe connected to recent murder of circus act Boston Brand aka Deadman.

Perry White(Deadman)
What? We have to get down there.

Ron Troupe
When do you go out on stories chief?

Deadman looks at Ron. And he looks at him confused.

Perry White(Deadman)
Sorry for this.

Ron Troupe(confused)
What?

Deadman spirit exits out Perry and enters Ron’s. Perry stubbles a little dazed.

Ron Troupe(Deadman)
(looks to Clark, Lois, and Jimmy) Let’s go.

Ron exits quickly. Lois brushes pass Perry.

Lois Lane
Headed to City Hall Chief. Mayor murder.

Lois follows Deadman out along with Jimmy who smiles at Perry. Clark just pats him on the back.

Perry White
Bring me back a front page. (still out of it) How the hell did I get in here.

CUT TO:

EXT-CITY HALL

We see M.P.D, Detective Sawyer and etc. They’re also barricades and officers to keep people back as they look on. Lois, Clark, Jimmy, and Ron walk over to the barricade. One officer won’t let them pass.

Lois Lane
Hey look buddy, were with The Daily Planet now let us through.

Officer
We don’t care. No press at the moment.

Lois Lane
Listen here you up tight-

Clark Kent
Lois.

Pan to Detective Sawyer noticing them and sighs that Lois is arguing with the officer.

Detective Maggie Sawyer
Officer, let them through.

Lois looks at the officer and sarcastically smiles. Lois and the others pass through the barricade. They approach Sawyer. Before Lois could ask a question Ron(Deadman) abruptly asks...

Ron Troupe(Deadman)
Is it true that it’s connected to the murder of Boston Brand.

Sawyer is taken back by Troupe straight foward question. Lois gives him a look.

Lois Lane
So, is it?

Detective Maggie Sawyer
It’s possible as he did have the same wounds but not entirely sure. Doesn’t make sense. Kill a circus performer and then a Mayor.

Lois Lane
Must be some type of connection.

Clark Kent
Like what. It will be a stretch.

While they continued to talk. Ron(Deadman) notices someone familiar in the crowd who was trying hard to blend in. He recognizes the man as the Hook man. A rush of anger comes to him.

Detective Maggie Sawyer
Are you okay?

Ron(Deadman) doesn’t respond but runs towards the direction of the Hook Man who now fades into the crowd.

Clark Kent
Ron!?

CUT TO:

EXT-BACK ALLEY

We see the Hook Man turning the corner into a back alley. Ron possessed by Deadman chases him down.

Ron Troupe(Deadman)
Hey! Stop!

The Hook Man turns to face him and smirks.

The Hook Man
Look kid. You don’t want to do this. Now turn back around.

Ron Troupe(Deadman)
You killed me, why!?

The Hook Man
What? Killed you? Not yet, if you don’t get out of my way.

Ron Troupe(Deadman)
Don’t recognize me. You took my life, in the trailer. Shot me and then you suffocated me. I was just a circus performer and you killed me anyway.

The Hook Man
(confused) Boston Brand? Is this some type of joke?

Ron Troupe(Deadman)
No joke, you killed me. And now I’m returning the favor.

Ron(Deadman) runs towards him and tackles him to the ground and begins punching him repeatedly. The Hook Man uses his hook and cuts Deadman’s arm. The kicks Ron(Deadman in his chest)and he falls on his back. The Hook Man stands over him and pulls out the same 9mm with a silencer he killed Boston with.

The Hook Man
If you really are the circus performer, guess I have to kill you again.

He gets ready to shoot until Superman intervenes grabbing the assassilant’s hand and twists it. Then the Man of Steel looks to Ron possessed by Deadman. He looks amazed to see Superman.

ACT III

INT-MCD INTERROGATION ROOM

We see The Hook Man through the window inside the Interrogation room. Lois and Clark try to enter but Detective Maggie Sawyer blocks them.

Detective Maggie Sawyer
No. This is far as you go.

Lois Lane
Are you freaking kidding me Sawyer? All the times we been in there with Edge, Church, etc, etc.

Detective Maggie Sawyer
That was personal for you due to your cousin’s murder but this is police matter. You can watch from the glass.

Sawyer walks in and shuts the door. Lois is furious along with Troupe(Deadman)

Lois Lane
This is bull, and how dare she bring up Chloe.

Clark Kent
She has point Lois.

Lois Lane
And exactly whose side are you on, Smallville?

Clark Kent
Not taking anyone’s side, just think-

Before he can finish Deadman interrupts.

Ron Troup(Deadman)
You guys might can’t get in there but I can.

Clark Kent
Considering you almost killed him, don’t think that’s a good idea.

Ron Troupe(Deadman)
Wasn’t asking permission.

Deadman spirit exits out Ron’s body and enters the Interrogation room.

Ron Troupe
Guys what the hell is going on?



Inside the interrogation room Deadman enters a detective body sitting next to Detective Maggie Sawyer. Hook Man looks at them intrigued.

Hook Man
I want my lawyer and phone call.

Detective Maggie Sawyer
You killed a Mayor along with Boston Brand. You’re facing death row pal. See I’m little confused, you kill a Circus performer and then a Mayor. Two different socialites, something tells me you’re not the man in charge.

Detective(Deadman)
Who gave the order on Boston Brand!?

Lois and Clark

Lois Lane
Well we know which person Deadman possessed.

Clark Kent
He’s too personally involved in this.

Lois Lane
Well he was murdered and so we’re we when we went after Intergang.

Jimmy Olsen
Lois is right C.K. Chloe’s murder hit us all hard and Intergang was the only thing that mattered. Do you even remember any other stories we went after?

Clark Kent
There’s difference in what we did. We were looking for Justice. Boston is out for revenge.

They didn’t respond to Clark’s statement.

Interrogation Room

Detective Maggie Sawyer
Calm yourself Detective, I’ll ask the questions.

Hook Man
You’ll get nothing out of me. Matter of fact you’re out of time.

Detective Maggie Sawyer
What?

We go to the vent as gas starts to fill the room and Hook Man holds his breath. Sawyer and the possessed Detective begin coughing heavy. The smoke starts to fill the room.

Outside Interrogation Room

Clark speeds off and comes back in a red blur. The speed causes wind to push up Lois’ hair. Superman bursts through the interrogation room and sucks the all the gas through his mouth. Then he takes off towards the sky. Pan to through several Creed Assassins entering to obtain Hook Man.


Lois Lane
No way.

One of them knocks Lois to the ground as Sawyer and the Detective continue coughing.

Detective(Deadman)
I won’t let you escape.

The assassins vanish through the smoke in MPD station. Superman comes back down. He sees Lois on the ground.

Superman
Lois!

He picks her up. She starts to come to.

Lois Lane
They have him.

Superman
Who?


Lois Lane
Creed Assassins.

Detective eyes Superman

Detective(Deadman)
Now that’s the body I need.

Deadman exits out the Detective and enters Superman. Lois looks at him concerned.

Lois Lane
Are you okay?

Superman(Deadman)
I’ll find him and get my revenge.

Lois eyes goes shock as she realizes Boston took over Superman’s body.

Lois Lane
No, Boston you can’t!

Superman possessed by Deadman flies out quickly in a blur. Sawyer is confused.

Detective Maggie Sawyer
Did you just call Superman Boston as in our murder victim?

Lois Lane
I fill you in on the way.

Cut off on Lois, Jimmy, Troupe and Sawyer leaving the MPD while the officers recover from the ordeal.

EXT-DOWNTOWN METROPOLIS

We see Creed Assassins with Hook Man blending in with the crowd. Tilt up to Superman(Deadman) searching for them.


Hook Man
I did what you wanted. Now will you let me back into the Creed.

Creed Assassin
You drew too much attention especially allowing yourself to get caught.

Hook Man
The job was done. Let me speak to Elverado now!

Creed Assassin
You’re in no position to give demands.

Hook Man realizes they’re going to kill him. So he kicks on in the knee and slice his throat with hook. Then head butts the other. The remaining two try to jump on him but Superman(Deadman) lands behind them and tosses them to a wall. Hook Man looks shocked to see him.

Superman(Deadman)
There you are, we have a lot discuss.

Cut off on Hook Man’s surprise.
