  • RESURRECTION and CRISIS Official Re-Watch Thread, December 30th, 2011

Not the most stellar pair for this week's re-watch, although I quite like Crisis.

This week Pa Kent's bypass surgery is interrupted by a crazy bomb-wearing stressed out little brother, and Lana is shot in the back by Adam Knight, then Clark does a Marty McFly.

I am not sure what I had more of a problem with Crisis. Generally I am very forgiving for unbelievable concepts or premises in an episode but the whole Kryptonite phone line time reversal was pretty weak or maybe it was after 2 1/2 years we learn that Pete and Lana work at a help line for the very first time and what are the chances that crap happens there just that episode(it felt to much like Saved By The Bell to me where the students would magically be at a place where we never seen them before or again and the whole plot takes place there for that episode). Even with those 2 things it probably was more the whole Adam Knight plot that dragged it down(never was a fan of his character). Not a terrible episode but not good by any stretch of the imagination.

I always felt if they wanted to make the episode be legit why not have Lana and/or Pete mention how they are working at the help line for a couple episodes before Crisis or even have a scene of Lana there in one of the previous episodes(instead of having a scene take place at the Talon where Lana talks to somebody have them meet her there as she gets off her job). It's little things like that which could make the whole teen helpline premise seem a little more believable rather then a bad plot device. Little things in proper planning that can make little things work
