I really enjoyed this episode I felt bad for Steph it was Dexter all over again. But in this case Jim wasn't in control of himself though I was a little miffed. That she didn't stop to think it through until near the end of the episode. One minute she's starting to question why he's suddenly defending the mystery woman. Then when he out of character claims he loves her and not his wife she kicks him out.

The comedy between Daph and her boyfriend was funny, I was actually expecting her to dump him. I was also a bit stumped that she was so quick to accept her secret from the start. I mean she used her power all day to get him to drop it, if I were him i'd dump her. She takes away his will power and freedom and he's ok with it I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss that.

But the part that I loved the most was when George said 'act like Charlie Sheen'. That was the first time I had an instant laugh reaction and it was timed perfectly. It was like that season three moment from Smallville. Where Pete said lemon pledge then seconds later we got a pledge commercial. In this case it's Charlie Sheen's insane rants, dating porn stars, and drug problems. Where he's literally not himself made the perfect punch line in the episode.

Great episode, indeed better than last week's as Viola said. Lots of obvious similarities to Smallville in the character of Sophie (aka Desiree from Heat), including plot similarities like Jim being controlled (similar to Jonathan being controlled).

When Jim said "Hello, George" on the phone to Sophie (Battlestar's Number Six back again playing a seductress/manipulator) it reminded me of Newman saying "Hello, Jerry" on Seinfeld. Also funny was Daphne having to "compel" Chris over and over again because he kept coming back to the same question.

I'm surprised the ratings aren't better, this has grown into a really great series. I don't watch any of those other shows in SteelyGal's list. I'll never get the masses...

Oh seriously, the show is up against American Idol?? That is tough considering that this season's contestants are really top quality batch and there is hardy any room for mistakes this time round. Only a couple of them are pitchy and have some wrong song selection. In the past seasons usually about half of them are pitchy and it goes down to the right song and right voice fit. But this year, most have the right songs and only the odd squeak out of place plus the fact there is quite a range of unique voices on show.

I think we this show can overtake the biggest loser [couples] but struggling to pass NCIS and impossible to beat American Idol.
