Ha ha they should have called it ACME Neurotoxin
Another good ep. Still not too crazy about finding way to make the carnies fit in but I liked the rest of it.
My only real complaint is when ARK captured the Cape they either had to unmask him or have a line like "Mr Flemming wants to unmask him on tv." They needed something to explain why they wouldnt do the obvious thing.Comment

The show is just soo annoying to watch. Firstly, i swear i remember them saying that Conrad was the Lich somewhere near the beginning of the episode. So from that point on, I so confused where this Lich story was going.
What pissed me off even more was that Orwell's character kicks some ass in the 2nd episode, but then she couldn't fight her way out of being grabbed by a woman the same size (or smaller) than her? Makes no sense, the writers made her character all over the place.Comment

I have been watching The Cape but I'm about to give up on it. The episodes aren't pulling me in and this kind of episode is not my cup of tea and I'm having a hard time getting invested in the characters. Seeing the Cape and his family always sad is kind of a downer. I'm glad for those who enjoy it but this show will probably get left off my list of good super hero shows.Comment

Didn't like this one either.
- So, Marty's a moron too? I thought only Trip was allowed to be that dumb. At least his excuse is youth. Vince wasn't disguising his voice at all. Marty also got a very good look at his face/eyes close up a few times, mask be damned. So, so stupid.
- How is Rollo almost being run over by a train a cliffhanger? Who gives a crap about Rollo? Rollo and Max are both criminal scumbags, nobody cares if they live or die.
- For those of us who have made comparisons to Robocop, the villain in this ep was the nuke-addicted psycho from Robocop 2. Looks like we weren’t imagining things.
- Vince having nightmares about his family is so lame…honestly its not like theyre dead. Boo hoo Vince you poor baby, grow a pair already you wuss. lol Seriously, theyre over-milking it. Constantly trying to make a huge deal of it.
Anyway, back to back mediocre eps.
That should probably be true, but for some reason it feels a lot more dumb here. Probably because in this situation, the people in question knew Vince a long time personally. If we go by the Superman movies, Lois just met the bumbling Clark and barely noticed him/knew his existed. She had no prior long term or close relationship with either of his persona (Clark or Superman).Last edited by Xanderman; 02-19-2011, 01:43 AM.Comment

A sore point for me too, really stands out doesn't it.

Poor Trip cant get a break. His dad is a dead criminal mastermind and his mom is a lawyer. He finally finds a friend who doesnt know his disgraceful past and he's not good enough for u.
I wont defend the usefulness of the circus folk because they scare me but ur anti midget hate mongering are basically racism only without the racial over tones! Short people dont need to get tossed or hit by trucks.
As to super hero disguises and there effectiveness in the time of facial recognition software and DNA testing, well I guess u wont be happy til all the heroes r gone. U prolly supported the VRA as well.Comment

The Conrad-Orwell scenes were fantastic. Good twist at the end too.
Liked seeing Vince, Max and Rollo working together.Comment
