That's also what I thought, but if that's the case, I have no clue why showed it so obviously to Anna. That was stupid if his loyalty lies elsewhere.

Anna didn't know what the ring represented or who that priest was...only
that she remembered it from when she was younger. That's why she had
Marcus look into the priest.

I'd bet the ring has some significance to the storyline. That's why they
made it so obvious when the priest gave it to Chad. It could be like
John May's coms device or the credit card coms device that Anna
gave to Ryan (Remember 'The Ice Pirates' ring message which looked
cheap for it's time, but was a cool idea in the 80s). There could be a
hidden message in the ring? It could simply be a symbol for other
V followers of Diana's? Let's hope this doesn't end up like the Hobbes/
Marcus storyline or the Lawrence Parker biological compound storyline.
We may never see it again?

I don't know, but to me the way the triangles were positioned on the ring reminded me of the trinity symbol in the religious context. Maybe he gave it Chad as sign to keep on having faith; that the Vs were capable of possessing faith and to never give up or stop fighting.

But it could very well be something else.
