Seriously, you should. It's IMO one of the most well written and acted shows of all time, and is so weirdly entertaining. Every season you think it can't get better, and it does!

Dexter is still an amazing show. The only way I'd think it had "jumped the shark" is if your friend thinks a twist within the storyline is "jumping the shark".

I think that's why Supernatural used the term perfectly as a season four title, imo. Some may call it jumping the shark, but Adam played a huge role within season five and that wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for "Jump the Shark". Kudos for SPN for making fun of the phrase.
