  • What can Sam feel?

I was wondering, with the absence of his soul, what exactly can sam feel. I mean, i know he can't feel emotions like happy, sad, but what else? I mean, a few times he's seemed confused or angry, and even smiling when Dean was bitten. So was he just acting from what he "should" feel like, or what exactly can or can't he feel without his soul?

That's my question too. Dean just said that he has no instinct at all.

Very interesting question. He has obviously lost his compassion, he does not care. He can't be in any mood, sad, happy etc. Though, he did seem upset in "The Third Man" when Cas showed up after Dean called him, but chose to ignore Sam's calls. But maybe he didn't actually feel anger, just acted angry because he, just like you said, "should" feel that way.

So far, I would say anger, happiness, sadness and regret.

I think if Sam shows any emotion, it's strictly from memory of how he did it in the past.
