So who's the One? Jack? Desmond? AU Locke? Other?

This episode seemed to really point to Jack of course. Lots of support for Jack being the next Jacob. However Desmond seems to have special powers already, much like Jacob. We've seen Desmond able to see "possible futures" before when he kept seeing Charlie die no matter what he did. Jacob has demonstrated similar "prophetic" abilities. Desmond also seems very "enlightened" now. Is this because he understands everything now and his purpose as the next guardian/Jacob? Or is it that he now understands his role in helping everything "come together" to defeat MIB, as connected to the AU no doubt? Is AU Locke meant to be the next Jacob? Or at least be the one to destroy/stop FLocke somehow, possibly by virtue of the fact that maybe the island can have only one Locke, and if AU Locke is beamed over, then MIB (who is trapped as Locke) would be destroyed? Would be a fitting irony for MIB to be defeated by Locke, who he ridiculed on more than one occasion. Either way, I'm sure AU Locke will have a special importance given the convo between himself and his fiancee about him having a "destiny" earlier this season. And if MIB dies, will he have a "replacement" just like Jacob? So that "the game" can continue? Not many candidates left for that, but if Jack gets the Jacob job, Sawyer would seem like the most likely fit for the next MIB, given the history between Jack and Sawyer. Lots and lots of possibilities here...
