I was bored by it mostly. But it was good seeing Lucifer again, and the way they used Gabriel AKA manwhoIwillalwaysconsideratricksternotadoucheyAngel was pretty clever. Sooo sick of this depressing angel storyline I miss monster of the week, or even demon of the week..

8 out of 10 I really liked this episode quite a bit. My only problem was that the Gods my only problem was that the gods should have been treated differently than the monsters they usually hunt. Really who shined was Richard Speight, Jr. I think he showed tonight that he is a great actor.

WOW! This episode totally rocked! So sad to see the Trickster go, but he did redeem himself by supporting humanity.

For the first time since his rising, Lucifer really scared me. he way he slaughtered those gods was really cruel. He was the devil we know and we saw how powerful he can really be.

        Now, where's Cas??

          I personally loved this episode.

Is it just me, or was there this random ghostfacers tidbit right in the middle of the episode. I just finished watch it online, yet I can't figure out the point of putting the ghostfacers in there...Am I the only one who saw that?

That was odd in a hard way, at first. But after the episode was over it made sense as an homage to the trickster, to honor his passing. There was another advert for a webseries or something that got sewn into the show, too, and may or may not be real since it was basically more of the "channel changing" phenom we see from a trickster episode.

Wowzer. Love love loved the episode. One of season 5 standouts. I especially liked when Jacob, I mean Lucifier, arrived at the hotel and started popping caps in all the other God's arses. This episode was truely one of my favorites.

The Ghostfacers promo was real. If you go to the website, you'll see the web series.

I would only watch Ghostfacers to see Dean and Sam kick their assess. I bet even Cas wouldn't be amused by Ghostfacers 'who are these pesky humans? I have a strange feeling of petulance when I see them.'

I gave this episode an 8. It was really good and entertaining but there were a few problems that kept it from getting that '10'.

                    First, the lovelies--
The hotel being called "The Elysian Fields"--cute!

Mercury being figured so prominently (did anyone else think that he was Gabriel in disguise for a minute or two? I did--especially since Mercury/Hermes is known as 'the Trickster God' in his pantheon).

Dean and his love of pie again, stealing Sam's chocolate and Sam getting the heebie jeebies.

Ganesh in his elephant form. Total giggle time.

Gabriel's entrance and how he kept up the pretence of being Loki (the Gods have never figured out he's an angel?).

Sam's suggestion that they use the Gods against Lucifer (and WHY hadn't that occured to them before? They know other Gods exist--to whit: A Very Supernatural Christmas).

                    Kali and Gabriel an item?

Who else thought that Ghostfacers thing was really...abrupt? *raises hand* I mean, it seemed to actually cut into the scene. I don't know if that was the intent or not but still....

As soon as Kali ganked Gabriel I immediately thought 'yeah, but was that really him?'

Finding out it was a trick and Gabriel and Dean's conversation in the car.

Mercury calling Lucifer. Then Gabriel vs. Lucifer (that was an awesome fight!). And I LOVED that an angel (besides Cas) finally chose Team Winchester and the side of humanity. Even it was for such a short time.

The porn vid at the end and telling them that they can't kill him but they can trap him.

And Matt Frewer as Pestilence! So gross and yet so perfect!

                    The not-so-lovelies:
That Sam and Dean had to have the ring thing basically handed to them by the Trickster/Gabriel. I would have much rather had them find the way to 'defeat' Lucifer on their own. I’m disappointed that they didn’t “earn” the solution to defeating Lucifer — that it was basically handed to them.

The handling of the Gods (my thoughts are on the other thread about that).

So the good outweighs the bad and this episode gets an 8 from me!
