“Lost” just started its final season last night.
But Disney-owned ABC is looking to the end. The network announced the two-hour series finale of the island adventure/nightmare will air at 9 p.m. Sunday, May 23.
A one-hour special will precede the finale.
Steve McPherson, president of the ABC Entertainment Group, lavished praise on the series. In a release announcing the end, McPherson said: ” ‘Lost’ is an example of what happens when you put creativity above everything else, trust the creative vision, and take the risks required to be truly original. It’s a testament to staying true to the creative vision of one of the most iconic shows ever on television, and we’re giving the producers an unprecedented opportunity to respect the fans and really satisfy the viewers with a spectacular conclusion.”
