But that doesn't make sense for her to be Braniac. She first says to Clark that he destroyed their world (New Earth) and after fighting him she realizes she's wrong and apoligizes to Clark. She is probably apoligizing for siding with Zod and killing Chloe. So if the woman is aplogizing and showing remorse to Clark it wouldn't make sense to make her Braniac.

Well at least this gets rid of the RIDICULOUS thought some of you had saying that Alia was Clark's love interest.

My main theory is that she would be Brainiac before being corrupted by Zod. So if that's true, then maybe the apology was done to show her working undercover for Jor-El. Or maybe it was to throw Clark off, which is more likely because if 2010 Alia was an uncorrupted Brainiac I doubt she would have tried to kill Clark. I think 2010 Alia was a corrupted version of Brainiac who faked his/her death & apologized to throw Clark off. I think 2009 Alia is Brainiac before the corruption and may/will get corrupted as the season progresses.

The super powers take time to bleed off. In the comics, the story Final Night has the sun eater slowly enveloping ols Sol the darker it gets on Earth the weaker Superman gets. He is still super for a while after the sun is blacked out but, Batman is nice enough to remind him that, "You'll freeze to death just like the rest of us."

Alia being Brainiac might fit. She did have superpowers under the red sun:

          1. She burned a Zod symbol into someones back.
          2. When the solar towers got deactivated, Zod lost his powers while Alia still had hers. You saw her superspeed at Lois and Clark when the ring got activated

Right now they are kind of keeping her a secrete. You notice right before Zod was about to give Alia her orders, Clark showed up and interupted Zod.

Right now she is definitely hiding something.

            Real good point.
Maybe next time, Xray will grant us a lovable theory about how it's all Mr. Mystlyk's fault.

There is more to ALia people; when Zod went to tell Alia what she needed to do was when Clark got there so you didn't get to hear her assignment. No Braniac here.

It made sense to me. They were bringing it closer, and using the tower to get their powers. It wasn't just that the sun was red.

How do you know he lost his powers, he just got mad he saw the yellow sun. Clark didn't try to fight Zod there and Zod didn't try using any of his powers so you can't assume he still didn't have some left in him before he stabbed Clark.

How do they get powers again?

I've rewatched the scene a few times and still can't hear how they have abilities and took Clark's away. Someone clarify please?

The red sun naturally takes away a kryptonian's powers. As to how the Zod and the other clones get powers under the red sun, I have to rewatch the episode.

It sounded like they were able to harness the yellow sun somehow, then turn it red and depower Clark without them. Its like they changed their DNA.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they are clones instead of the real deal.

Blue Kryptonite has the reverse affect under the red sun; and the orb was infused with blue kryptonite by Jor-El that's why they were powerless under the yellow sun

Usually any kind of kryptonite should have no effect under the Red Sun. Otherwise, you would have had Kryptonians using Blue K to their advantage on Krypton. I'm guessing this is a retcon.

Well after he threw Clark & the sun turned normal again, Clark hit him while he got stabbed & KO'd Zod.
