Thumbs up The Original V-Actor Biographies

I'm designing this thread as a way for classic V fans to
introduce the cast & crew of V to the new V fans so they
don't have to go searching the web for facts. First choose,
a favorite character from the original V on the poll, then
say something interesting about them or look them up
and write somethings about them. I don't care if you
met them at a convention or at your local grocery
store. Remember, this is only about your favorite
character, not your favorite actor, the bio is only
about the actor playing your favorite character!!!

I have chosen Marc Singer. I looked him up on his personal
website and he's been quite busy over the years. Born on
January 29, 1948 in Vancouver, Canada (What a place to
be born considering they're filming the new version of V in
his hometown and for all you Smallville fans...) His father
Jacques is a symphony director and his mother Leslie is a
concert pianist so music is in his family. His sister Lori is
an actress as well. His cousin is a famous director, Bryan
Singer, of Superman Returns fame. Marc was raised in
Corpus Christi, Texas. He is currently teaching kids
inter-disciplinary tactics at the Heifetz International Music
    Institute.

His TV credits include Beastmaster, V: The Visitors, Highlander,
Dallas, The Young & The Restless, Planet of the Apes TV,
Hawaii Five-O, Barnaby Jones, The Love Boat, The Twilight
Zone, Murder She Wrote, Honey I Shrunk the Kids TV,
Columbo, and he does the voice of Dr. Kirk Langstrom/Man-Bat
    in Batman.

Some of this movie credits include If You Could See What I Hear,
Body Chemisty, Something For Joey, Watchers II, High Desert
Kill, Go Tell the Spartans, Dead Space, as well as three
Beastmaster films. His most recent films were Snowman's
Pass (2004) and Angel Blade (2002).

On his website, he has an art gallery displaying Abstract
Impressionist Drawings that he's done and is selling.

Here are some photos of the actor named Marc Singer.

A really sad thing about a classic V actor... it was my website (KryptonSite) that broke the news of Lane Smith's passing. This was before I'd ever seen him as Norman Bates, but whenever I watch V: The Series I think about that.

I had been in contact with one of his family members when he was ill.

Just a correction. His name was Nathan on the show. Norman Bates was Anthony Perkins in Psycho.LOL.
And yes that was sad that he passed. He was a great actor. I think he was considered for the role of Blake Carrington on Dynasty but they agreed that he was too young and gave it to John Forsythe.

I didn't know that Lane Smith was gone. That's sad to hear.
He was a great actor and played in several things that I
    liked. He will be missed.

    Blair Tefkin

It was probably only a type-O, but I figure since I did
Blair Tefkin the discourtesy of spelling her name wrong
in my poll, the least I could do is a biography on her.
I had to go to multiple locations to find information
and pictures, but here it is:

She was born on December 9, 1959 in Los Angeles,
California. She is best known for her role as Robin
Maxwell in "V: The Visitors". (Thanks to NYMothership,
we now know that she wasn't the first actress
chosen for that role) Other notable television roles
    include "Get a Life".

Film roles include "Fast Times at Ridgemont High",
"Three for the Road", "A Sinful Life", "Inside Monkey
Zetterland", "Dream Lover", "The Anniversary Party",
    and "Fright Night Part 2".

In 1996, she signed a songwriting and development
deal with PolyGram Publishing and formed pop band
Lucie Gamelon, singing and playing bass. She
released her first solo CD "Shocked & Devastated",
on her own Bossyboots Records label in 2001.

She is currently working on a one-woman show
entitled "In the Land of the Giants". She wrote and
    performs in the play.

Most of us will only remember her as the mother
of the vile starchild. These are the only real
pictures that I could find on her.

    Sarah Douglas

I was thinking of who I should do next and thought it would
be cool to do Sarah Douglas. She played the visitor named
Pamela in "V-The Final Battle". She was a regular thorn in
Diana's rear and had the Supreme Commander's Ear for the
most part. Maybe, that's why Diana had to take them both
    out of commission.

Sarah Douglas was born on December 12, 1952 and is an
English actress. She is best known for her role in "Superman-
The Movie" and "Superman II" as the Kryptonian supervillian
Ursa and for her role as Pamela Lynch on the TV series
"Falcon Crest". She must like to play characters named
Pamela? She is the daughter of Beryl, a physiotherapist
who often worked upon RSC actors, and Edward Douglas,
a career member of the Royal Air Force.

Her first credited role was "The Last Days of Man on Earth".
After this, she became known to British television audiences
in 1970s by appearing in "The Inheritors" and "Space: 1999",
before appearing in films "The People that Time Forgot" (In
a role that nominated her for a Saturn Award).

In 1990s, she guest starred on Babylon 5 and Stargate SG-1.
She's been in various movies: "Conan-The Destroyer",
"Solar Babies", "The Return of the Swamp Thing", "The
Stepford Husbands", "Return of the Living Dead 3", and
"Spitfire". In 1991, she appeared in "Beastmaster 2" with
her V co-star Marc Singer. In 2003, she was in Sci-Fi
    Channels "Gryphon".

Lately, she has been a regular guest at Sci-Fi Conventions.
She's been working on audio dramas "Sapphire and Steel:
The Mystery of the Missing Hour", "The Brightonomicon",
    and "Stargate: Atlantis".

She was married to Richard LeParmentier (Best known
as Admiral Motti from Star Wars) in 1981. They divorced
in 1984. Most of this information came from multiple
sources. Here are a few pictures of Sarah Douglas.

    Mickey Jones

I thought that I might challenge myself with this one. I
decided to do Mickey Jones. He played Chris Faber in
V: The Final Battle and V: The 1985 Series. He was Ham
Tyler's partner in crime. I've seen him in plenty of shows
and never thought much of him until I came across a
site with him taking pictures with fans in Visitor uniforms.
I thought that was pretty cool.

He was born on June 10, 1941 in Houston, Texas. He's
an American Musician who was once a drummer for
Bob Dylan on a World Tour and he later joined Kenny
Rogers. He also an actor whose appeared in many
    television shows and movies.

He starred in the short-lived 1980 spinoff TV series "Flo".
He appeared regularly in "Home Improvement" and had
guest appearances in "Baywatch", "Northern Exposure",
"Married...with Children", "The Incredible Hulk", "The
Dukes of Hazzard", "Rockford Files", and "Sanford and
    Son".

His movie credits include: "Wrong is Right", "National
Lampoon's Vacation", "Starman", "Total Recall" with his
    V co-star Michael Ironside(Though he never had a scene
with him), "Extreme Prejudice", "The Couch Trip", "Dead
Bang", "Drop Zone", "Tin Cup", "Sling Blade", "The Fighting
Temptations" (2003), "Iowa" and "No Direction Home:
Bob Dylan" (2005), "Penny Dreadful" and "Simple Things"
(2006), "Corners" and "High Desert" (2007), and
    "Necrosis" (2009).

Sounds like Mickey's had quite an interesting life.
Here are some pictures of Mickey Jones.

    Frank Ashmore

    Martin/Philip

Frank Ashmore (born June 17, 1945) is an American actor. He is perhaps best known for his role as "Martin" in the 1983 NBC mini series V and its 1984 sequel V: The Final Battle. He reprised his role in the pilot episode of V: The Series but was killed off by the end of the episode. He returned later on in V: The Series as Philip, Martin's twin brother.
Ashmore is also known for his film appearances in the 1980 hit comedy film Airplane! and its 1982 sequel Airplane II: The Sequel. He also appeared in the 1979 film Parts: The Clonus Horror and has made guest appearances on various television shows including Happy Days, Battlestar Galactica, Touched by an Angel and The West Wing.
    (this is from wikipedia)

Martin was my favorite character in the original series. I felt that his friendship with Donovan was an extremely important part of the story. I LOVED the scene where Donovan was forced to "out" Martin in front of Diana!!!! So here's to Frank Ashmore!!!

Thank you CCopas, he was my next bio, but you did a great
job. I had sent a personal message to obtain his name
probably moments before your post. NYMothership should
see this and not research the information I asked for.
    Thank you for your biography.

By the way, welcome to K-Site.

Thanks Glove!! I'm so EXCITED about this show!! I remember being a kid and running around the backyard with the neighbor kids playing "V"! My best friend would always play Donovan and I played Martin, we would make his kid sister play Diana! (If we were 10 at the time she would have been 7 or 8) Just imagine this little girl running around the backyard pretending to be the most over the top sci fi villianous! It was fabulous!! I can remember her saying "You need an attitude adjustment my dear. And it will be my pleasure to give it to you." LOL
