That was stupid. Really stupid. If Clarks powers can be taken that easily, than he's not really as "super" as they make him out do be.

Parasite always takes Superman's powers, but Superman can always outsmart him to get them back.

You guys should really learn something about the main character of this show and his villains.

Parasite steals superman's powers. Lex tries to make money on the real estate market. Jor-El beats Zordon in a Ms. Head Trapped in a Tube Thingy Beauty pageant. Babies Poop.

                Come on now, keep up.

                  Parasite stealing Clark's powers

Is anyone else sick of how the writers handle Clark losing his powers?

Parasite's ability is to steal powers from meteor infected people. Clark is not a human infected by the meteors. He is an alien from another planet, whose biological makeup is affected by Earth's yellow sun. This is what seperates him from being just another run of the mill meteor freak. Since Clark's powers are not from the meteors, Parasite should not have been able to take his powers or inherit Clark's weakness to Kryptonite. Kryptonite is only lethal to people from Krypton. Parasite only takes a meteor power. He doesn't take someone's biological makeup or their origins.

They did the same thing with Eric in Asylum in regards to Kryptonite as well. This has always bugged me.

Yeah, I expected Parasite to possibly die from trying to take Clarks power, or for it to just not work. I don't like the idea of Superman losing his powers to that Parasitic little twit.

Parasite, is a DC character. He always takes Supermans powers. It was in the SAS and in comics. The diffence in this universe vs. those was that superman powers are restored after time!!! Parasite, cannot restore the powers he is like a rechargable battery, that comes and gets his fix and it wears off after time!!!

I was refering more to how he was developed in Smallville. DC doesn't really apply here. This version of Parasite is based off of being a meteor freak, whose power targets meteor enhanced abilities. Clark's powers have nothing to do with the meteors. So this version of Parasite should not have had any affect on him.

Kryptonite injures kryptonions because it forces the energy gained from the Sun out of their cells or in some versions it stops their cells being able to hold the energy. Parasite stole Clarks energy and stored it in his own cells, hence making him weak to kryptonite.

Eric was actually ment to be parasite hence why his episode in smallville was called "leech".

Clarks biology is not changed by Eric or Parasite. It is however drained of all energy and he feels temporarily human. Given time (or close exposure) in either situation clark's powers would have been regained. In the same way Eric and parasite would lose Clark's powers given time. None of them is aware of this however. Lana also gained Clarks powers temporarily in S7 whilst he kept his own. Human cells seem compatible with kryptonion harvested solar energy even if they are not able to harvest the enrgy of the sun themselves. Vampire Lana temporarily gained Clarks powers by drinking his blood, in which contained this harvested solar energy.

Kryptonite still shouldn't be lethal to humans though regardless of the circumstances. Parasite stealing Clark's powers doesn't make him Kryptonian. It makes him a human with Clark's powers.

No im sorry but you are incorrect.

A kryptonion who currently has no powers can touch meteor rocks. You wonder how they lived perfectly fine on the planet krypton when those rocks were all around?

Kryptonion energy can be lethal to humans. It can cause damage through wear-and-tear. Jonathen Kents heart was damaged this way. Using kryptonite to push the energy out of a humans cells would have been extremely painful. It could haved caused a bubble in the blood stream leading to a heart attack. It is not always lethal though. Parasite states that it is killing him but in truth, he cannot be sure.
