^^ I agree with this and the idea that he wasn't ready at the time to change the relationship between him and Lois. She hadn't done a thing wrong and he told her so with the 'your special'. it was about him and how he felt about it in regards to safety for the ppl he cares about, how it changes the nature of his relationships ect. Clark has always battled on this.. and did so this latest season..it took a trip to the future to confirm to him what he already knew that not only could Lois handle it but it doesn't have to be a bad thing for her.
