i'm surprised that lex screentime was so low for season 7...

Apocalypse was the only episode between season 7 and 8 to have more than a half and hour Clark Kent. And if I'm not mistaken it's a fan favorite.... hmm... I wonder why that is.... And the coolest part is that its an episode Tom Welling directed.... Meaning that didn't affect the episode at all.

This is definitely one of those seasons with a high correlation for me between Clark's screentime and my episode rankings.

Descent is the only superior episode with only average Clark time. Kara and Siren are the only episodes with above average Clark time that I rate below average - mostly because the episodes are so busy introducing a new character that I find the story less than compelling.

And of course, the two worst episodes of the season (Sleeper & Hero) have two of the lowest Clark screentimes. When on when will the screenwriters learn this lesson??

Clark is the main character and should almost always have the most screen time.

Smallville is getting darker and more serious, or am I the only one thinking that? In the beginning we had episodes where Chloe got everyone to tell the truth, and it was a fun and upbeat episode. These days (season 7) it's all death, sorrow and dark times. I miss the episodes where we see care free days (and Allison's AMAZING smile)

Is it me or does Season 7 seem like it had the least amount of running time per average episode?

One thing I notice in my current rewatch is the runtime seem to get less in Season 6 and S7 is slightly worse. S8 seems to be a little better but not at Season 5 levels

I always wonder if the lesser runtime was a case of moving to the CW or just a case of the natural progression of the show and tv in general and it would have been reduced no matter what
