I think they had to have had some influence in this in some way. I think this ending probably pulled from the ideas they had discussed all along for ending Clana with Clana still the main focus of the show. This ending could have been dropped into the end of season 7 with no problem.

KK had a contract. She had five episodes left. Even though I get the ending now, it should've ended better. It should've ended in a mature matter. Just let them part as friend with no kryptonite or superpowerds involved.
