Merry Christmas, Amelie! I hope you have a magnificent Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I haven't seen you around the boards as much lately, but I want you to know that I still think you are a rockin' K-Site poster. See ya!

It's not that he wouldn't be happy to have Lois back, but that he thinks she doesn't know why he told her to go to Africa. For him to tell her he wants one thing (regardless of the real reasons i.e. Zod) and then for him to act happy that she did the opposite of what he asked, would send a very confusing message. I don't think he wants Lois in Africa now, but he couldn't give that away because he had no idea why she was staying. I believe Clark based his reaction on the assumption that if he had acted like he wanted her to stay after all, he would have blantantly contradicted himself in Lois' eyes (from his perspective).

I guess I wanted Clark to be as happy about Lois being back as I was.

Sorry, but I wanted to address this as well. I completely understand the desire to see Clark have a certain reaction, but my issue is that Clark's actions have to make sense for him and not for what we as audience members want. It woudn't make sense for Clark to show any outward signs of being immediately thrilled that Lois was still in Metropolis if it was he who specifically told her to leave the last time they had seen each other. It sends a very bad mixed message, and honestly, Clark was probably not a hundred percent happy to see Lois at that moment because he was a man on a mission and she's someone who can very easily distract him from that if he gives into his desires.

That part of the scene wasn't about being distracted. They had already moved on from that because Clark was clearly alerted to Lois' strange change in behavior. He was trying to gauge what was going on with her considering she had randomly decided to stay in Metropolis after he told her to go to Africa and after the Blur kissed her. That smile was a Blur/Lois moment, not a Clark/Lois moment. The initial reaction you're speaking about upon seeing Lois at the planet was the result of being on a mission. The feel of the scene obviously changes once Clark learns more about what's going on with Lois. I don't think he seemed cold at all, at least not in such a way that doesn't make sense based on the context of the scene. Anyway, it's just a difference of opinion. Clark's love for Lois seemed quite evident throughout the episode, from my point of view.

I don't mind at all. They're trying to determine K-Siters' favorite episode. We've already narrowed it down to five, and the rules change with each round. They're just starting a new one, so I'll have to wait and see what the rules are before I try to explain them to you, or you can read them for yourself on the last page if they're already posted... I'll try to get back to you with more info on this when I can.

In case you see this before you revisit the Games forum... The game you posted in is the Episode Elimination Game, but MY game that I told you about is called the Anti-Episode Wars, which is a couple of topics below that one. You can find the lists of 7th, 8th, and 9th episodes a couple of pages before the last one -- I think it's on the 34th page...

Hey, Amelie! It's easy, really. Every three days, I post a new batch of episodes -- right now, we're working on all the 7th, 8th, and 9th episodes from each season. You just pick which episode you think is the worst of each set. For example, all the 7th episodes of every season are: Craving, Lineage, Magnetic, Jinx, Splinter, Rage, Wrath, Identity, and Kandor. I would vote for which of those nine I think is the worst. At the end of the three days, I post the results. It's as simple as that. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Hi, Amelie! We're doing a fun competition in the Games Forum called the Anti-Episode Wars, if you'd be interested in participating. It's quick, easy, and entertaining, and I'm trying to invite as many of my posting friends as possible. If you don't want to join, that's cool, too. Have a nice day!
