As soon as the Haitian leaves the area, Adam's resurection ability should kick in, and Future Peter should come back to life, right?

I'm sure if a bullet were lodged in his head and couldn't be removed, he would remain immobile. Like when the glass shard was in his head. Since he was in their custody, all they'd have to do is not remove the bullet.

I think we are getting somewhere with this  We saw Sylar get shot several times by HRG last week. Those bullets popped out of him. I think if the injury is caused to the brain (claires scalp being removed, the glass shard and now the bullet) they won't heal till that is taken care of. They won't be dead, they just won't heal.
Claire said he wasn't dead. This way she has control over him because hes basically dormant
He wasn't shot in the head though, he was shot in the chest. I wonder if he's without his powers long enough if he will just die. Then even if the Haitian is gone Peter will already be dead and can't come back?
I don't think of Kensei as having resurrection powers, he is immortal. I don't know if that really is a power or if it's something else entirely.

If they really want him dead, they better cut his head off, and slice him into a million pieces(that's really gross). Unless, with claire's lizard like regeneration ability, a head can be regrown, minus the subjects memory, essentially becoming a carbon copy blank slate, that they can use for their own purpose. Did anybody see species 2? Well if you did, remember when the infected astronaut tried to kill himself with a shotgun to the head, basically blowing his own head off, just to have it regrow(what a terrific scene)! Claire's ability, not Adam's, could pull this off. Now back to dead Peter. Think of the old Vampire movies, when they were more supernatural based, and you would basically stake the vampire, killing him, and then some idiot comes by, removes the stake, and Dracula is back to life. That's my opinion on the Haitian's proximity and his ability to 'negate'a power, not take it away. Once he leaves the proximity of the individual, Peter, dead or alive, will regain the one ability that transcends life and death, his immortality from Adam.;)
