Did anyone else notice the new heat vision effect?
It became more traditional laser beams, while it had started as more... Heat waves, I suppose. It first really changed in Bizarro (water evaporation) but was very noticeable here. It was nice, but looked a little... cheaper than the old way.
Also, when was the last time he used that? I feel like it's been forever...
Random thoughts. But I'm bored...

Also, I could be wrong but the last time Clark Kent used heat-vision was [Season 8, Episode 16 - Descent] I believe. He used his vision to warm up Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane, who had been trapped in Daily Planet's freezer because they'd discovered that Lex killed Lionel and Lex's assistant was stopping them from telling anyone.

Looks the same. Sure the color might look different, but it's still the same. It still breaks apart like it always did. So, no, it doesn't look any like a laser beam.

I respectfully disagree. These last two seasons his heat vision has changed. It is now much redder, and I think it was brighter thursday than it's ever been.

^^ i agree it looks more defined now and alot better than it has done but we have seen his heat vision evolve in the past 2 seasons and i hope it will soon become laser! pew pew!

Yeah, his heat vision has definately changed over the last two seasons. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I was always under the impression that his heat vision would initially be invisible in "real" life other than maybe heat ripples, and that in the movies, comic books and on tv it was made to look like lasers or colored for our (the viewers) benefit. But it could be it gets hotter as he gets older and more mature, thus evolving into lasers.

It always goes back and forth depending on what the situation is when he uses his heat vision. He can clearly control it the way he did in Descent changing it from a concentrated beam to something very loose.

Probably, but I think it's just the Heat Vision developing more into what it's supposed to be; A red beam, instead of a wave of heat.
