First of all - I did a Forum search before I started this thread and I really hope that I didn't make the stupid mistake of overlooking an already excisiting Sopranos thread :\
I love the series - only seen two or three episodes so far but I'm going to tune in on season four - April 7th it starts again :) - and I'm planning to buy the first three seasons on DVD - special offer in our newspaper.
All right, Soprano fans, start chatting away about your fav series :D

My cousin is a big Sopranos fan, S5 just started and since I make him watch Smallville with me he made me watch the beginning of S5 with him, I had never seen any of them before, and I must say that it was awesome, we have all the seasons on DVD, I am not sure why I never watched them, so I watched S1-S4 before the second ep of S5 came on. I never knew how good the show was, the only bad thing is that the show is only 13 eps per season and you have to wait like 9 months for a new season to come on.

S5... then you are way ahead of us.
Too bad the new series will be shown after the movie, which is pretty late. I might have to tape it I guess.

That ep was called "Pine Barrons" and it was also directed by current Sopranos cast member Steve Buscemi.

Steve Buscemi is a cast member now? Cool, I loved his acting in "Con Air". Which is sadly one of the only movies I've seen him in.
I have a lot of catching up to do. *rubs hands*
Can't wait!
Last week I noticed season 4 was already available in stores, but only the imported DVD's, so without Dutch subtitles. That never stopped me from watching a series - I own the first three seasons of M*A*S*H, only English or French subtitles).

The Sopranos thread must thrive in tribute to it's awesomeness!
I only got into it 5 months ago, and I made sure I had all the first 4 seasons on DVD asap, I was addicted from the first episode.
I got all of season 5 on my comp to, and steve buscemi added a great touch to the season, I've always adored his whacky acting career, they definately got a good set-up for next season, what with one of the guys feeding the FBI tonnes of information about Tony, I can only seeing the series ending one of 3 ways.
1. Tony dies.
2. Tony gets jailed.
3. Tony flips to.

The Sopranos is amazing. I heard a rumour that once series 5 ends, there will be a movie to tie it all up.
That would be so fricking awesome!

That would be so fricking awesome! Season 5 ended last year around may, S6 starts March 2006 and David Chase (creator) said it may be the final season. I have not heard anything about a movie, I am guessing if S6 was the final season then we may see 15 episodes instesd of the usual 13, so that would be like a movie. We shall see.:)

Surprised this isn't on this forum yet. Season premiere was last Sunday? What did you think of it and how this final season will turn out for those who watch it?

Actually I now think it was brilliant because people can't stop talking about it.
I've heard many theories but the one I like best and makes the most sense to me is this;
we the audience were (whacked) cut off and therefore will never see what goes on in Tony's life ever again.
So many people were running to make sure their cable was till on. :rotfl:

Yea, that ending left me feeling like Paris Hilton in a spelling bee.
Lost and confused.
I think (like a lot of people) Tony got shot in the head by the guy who had just went to the bathroom before Meadow came in.
But either way, the audience got whacked!

The best drama of television is certainly The Sopranos (http://www.dvdcollects.com). With its six seasons, The sopranos became the most successful tv drama ever and It will never be forgotten. I liked every single episode of it and every episode tasted like a movie. Characters are drawn incredibly amazing. James Gandolfini is a great actor and he was amazing in The Sopranos. With characters like Tony, Christopher, Paul and others, The show was incredible. I watched not only how Tony dealt with his everyday problems but I also watched how psycologically Tony grew and this character development added really important things. Especially by the help of conversations with his doctor, I could see the way of how he thinks.
