My god, it doesn't have to be that detailed.

It's alright I get it, but it bothers me that some people wants each and every detail right.

Dang, watch the old George Reeves "Adventures of Superman." There's at least one scene I remember where Supes walks away from the camera and there's no "S" on the back of his cape, and in the next it's there. We didn't need details in the 1950s, why start now? :p

Pft... if I'd been alive and watchin' the show, I'd have requested more details even then!

Quality over quantity. ;)

Alive when the George Reeves version aired? Dude, they've invented DVDs! The whole 1950s series is available ;) 104 eps (some of which George directed), plus the Public Service film "Stamp Day for Superman." The whole set is on MY shelf ;)

And I doubt the producers could take the time to deal with continuity and viewer critiques back then. From what I read they did that show in, uh, super speed. Often rehashing scenes where needed (it's always the same Clark to the storeroom, and Supes jumping out the window, complete with reversing the shots for left-to-right flight, never mind the "S" on his chest is backwards!!!!). Oh, heck it's a KIDS show....NO ONE is going to notice...or care....especially 50 years later! HA!!!!! :p

You aren't asking for details, you are asking for the writers to waste time on a fiction show.

I'm glad I don't watch Smallville under a microscope. By the time I scrutinized every frame, it would loose the entertainment factor. Sorry, but this little detail of what is on the monitors, just isn't important to me.

I'm asking them to waste time...? On a fiction show?

Mmhmm... that's right - because if they're going to waste their time doing a show, I'd prefer they waste their time doing it right. Smallville is a good show but at the end of the day, after everything is over and done with, it's a waste of time. It doesn't (at the moment) provide nearly any educational benefit, it doesn't affect real-world events... it's purpose is for entertainment only. And all entertainment is/can be considered a waste of time if it isn't accomplishing something at the same time... but that's going way off the original post...

Which I remind you, Timester, is that the Luthorcorp database was basically useless/pointless, going off of the images they inserted for the use of, as well as the fake plant info. It would have just been nice if it'd actually had one relevant, actual toxins-from-a-plant fact. At least one. I don't think that's asking too much for one genuine fact relative to the type of database it's supposed to be.

It's still wasting time (and money), the time they would waste on pointless details, they can use it on FX or more character development. Which, by the way, is what show is about.

By the way, the flower was called Euphorbia Marsha, according to the screen she stopped it. I did a quick Excite.com, Yahoo.com and Google search - there's no such plant. Why must they invent a plant when there are hundreds of real poisonous plants to choose from? :(

They chose to use a fictional plant so that they may create the plant's deadly poisonous effects. Also, I doubt you could slow down the image and catch every frame. To do that you would need the actual source playing right in front of you, not captured though another camera at 24 frames, which probably differs then the frame rate used for that video.

I like how the virus/toxin database was a throwback to Season 5 with Lex working with Fine on the virus compound.

Why are people complaining about reused images on a monitor? Be happy you are getting quality storylines now and character development over what? The lighting in the room isn't correct to your standards? Get a life and just enjoy the show.
