Yes of course he ran - should be no problem at all for Clark.:)
But what bothers me the most is, that I believe Tess wanted to test Clark, wether he would be able to get the antidote or not.
As soon as she mentioned Brazil, I immediatly thought "Clark, that might be a trap!"
O.k. we didn't saw or hear anything about that in this episode, but I would almost bet that we get to hear about something in that direction in one of the next episodes.

I think Tess will catch on about Clark fairly early this season, i also think she knows more about Clark than what we all think. She was concerned when she found out it was Ollie, but when she told Clark the antidote was in Brazil and she'd never be able to make it back in time, it seemed she knew Clark would get it. She knows there's more to Clark, maybe from what Lex or his partners have told her, or from things she's looked into that circulates around Clark Kent. She's been suspicious of Clark ever since she asked him about the whereabouts of Lex.
Second once she calls to find out the antidote is gone, it'll be obvious that it was Clark that took it since she only told him where it was. If she find out somehow, she'll want Clark to be part of her team...BTW i don't watch battle star galactica, but i recently watched one episode, gotta say there CGI and special effects are good for a series, jsut thinking if they smallville could get talent like that, then seeing doomsday as the beast that he truly is in the comics could be done, though for something like that they'd have to do it right and not cheap looking....fans would be more upset if they tried something and butchered it, when they can take the time and effort and really make something amazing for the fans. And not just for doomsday but for other effects as well, i think the new writers are actually listening to what the fans want and are trying to give us what we want.
Just for Continuity sake, Ollie was lost for 2 years, his hair stayed short, beard never grew, and the fact that a rich kid like that and no-one could find him...it's things like these that suck, with the scenes they showed Ollie could've wore a hair piece for beard and longer hair, something so simple that would've made it more believable. And why did Clark have to go to Brazil, why not get leaches, wouldn't of that been much quicker?

I doubt Leeches could have worked since he was a hair's length from death, in the island he is treated with Leeches early and it took some time before he healed. Also the antidote probably contained the enzymes the Leech produces. Also I think Clark can actually run on water but we haven't see it yet. Remember, he is much faster and stronger than in season 4.

well just to point something out, no matter what movement Clark is doing he can do it at nearly the speed of light, and theoretically even if he went 1/4 of that speed he'd vanish to the human eye. This means he can walk, run, and SWIM at superspeeds also, so he could've swam in any area's that were large bodeis of water.
I guaratnee Clark can jump/leap a good few miles, so he could probably jump from island to island if they were within distance, do a bit of speed running/swimming, no matter how you look at it given his abilities Clark could go around the world and back in no time.

I was going to ask the same question. Not as an insult but if you ever watch Leno and the tonight show and the questions he asks, well you know what I'm talking about.
What I found interesting is that it took him less time ( it seemed) to get to Brazil than it did to get to Tess when she was in danger.
Anyone else notice that we only saw Clark super-speed once in this episode?

I rewatched the episode and Tess tells him that the antidote is in Campo Grande, Brazil, so she pinpoints it to a city. I believe Clark could use his powers to find the facility in one city in Brazil in time to get it to Ollie.

Clark can superspeed on water if he wanted too. The only reason Clark didn't back when he first chased Bart was that he didn't know he could. You don't have to travel at a real high speed to run across water. In the comics Superman is only a step or two slower than Flash.

Yep. In this car fanatic gearhead show produced by the BBC called Top Gear they showed people in Greenland I believe who raced a car/truck (don't remember exactly) and a snowmobile ACROSS a lake!!!!! The snowmobile won! Not to mention the water walking insects and frogs. If a frog can do it, Clark can.
I think Clark was also surprised by Bart; up to that point he hadn't seen anybody who could best him.
I'd laugh at the lack of geography knowledge if I weren't crying at the state of education in the U.S. We have turned into tests are us instead of actually learning. :(:o:\

Mesopotamia means land surrounded by rivers. There are only two mesopotamias en the world. One is in Iraq, between the Tigris and the Eufrates. The other one is in Argentina, between the Paraná, the Iguazú and the Uruguay river. That's were the Iguazú Falls are.

In Justice, at the beginning of the episode, Chloe was talking to Clark on the phone. She said something to the effect of "I know looking for Zoners in Central America is your priority, but I need your help here." While Bart got there to help Chloe with the bad guy before Clark, it was 59 seconds from the time Chloe ended her conversation till the time Clark arrived in the Daily Planet basement. If he can cover Central America to Metropolis in 59 seconds, it should only be about another minute or so for him to get to Brazil from Metropolis.
It was just disappointing that they didn't even show him super-speed off for the journey. Thus there is another review on another website that seems to think that Clark actually did find the antidote at a nearby Queen Industries lab instead of going to Brazil. And it would have been cool to actually show him using his telescopic vision to locate the exact location of the lab in Brazil. Wasted a great opportunity to showcase another of his powers.

Clark super speed down to the bus stop and got him self a bus ticket to Brazil. He then proceeded to board the bus. After a long and boring ride on a hot and sweaty bus, Clark finally made it to Brazil. He then got off the bus and walked up to the gates to the local Luthor Corp. facility and walks right in. Clark figured he can do it to the Luthor mansion all the time, why not this place and no one questions him. Clark takes the antidote and checks his watch and realizes that he missed his bus back so he super speeds back to Metropolis and delives the antidote just in the knick of time to save Oliver Queen.

Clark probably brought back a hot Brazilian girl back with him and stashed her back at the farm for some play time. Maybe he got one each for Pete & Bart too.
I don't know why people are shocked at how he could get back & forth that fast. He got to Honduras in seconds in Void. And he's even faster now than he was then. Plus he could have sped over water (he probably knows how to do that now--Bart was going slightly faster than him when he did it and Clark by now is able to go faster than Bart was when he was doing that).

I don't think anyone was shocked about how fast Clark covered such a large distance. The shock comes from the geographic confusion that was created after the first post and how everyone kept misinterpreting the following replies, leading to someone's astonished question about Argentina and <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comhttp://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/ /><st1:country-region w:st=Iraq being settled between <st1:country-region w:st=" /><ST1:pBrazil. No one really said that Iraq was in South America, but when someone mentioned the Mesopotamia (in between Argentina and Brazil), someone else assumed that she/he was talking about Iraq and that produced a 'snowball' effect that was really fascinating to read.
I wonder if Clark had the time to learn samba while he went to Brazil

PS: God, there is so much fail on this thread...
Brazil, discovered by Pedro Alvares Cabral in 1500, is in South America. Clark had to run from North America, through Central America and some South American countries to get to Brazil.
Mesopotomia is the valley of civilizations on Iraq. Retardly, the Portuguese/Spanish colonizers gave the same name to a valley on former La Plata, now Argentina.
But, I know this because geography is on the Portuguese blood, we study it since little kids until 9th grade. It's part of our history, due the Portuguese Discoveries.

More proof that Clark Kent is an expert liar. Even a tv critic thought he was telling the truth with that one. :)
Here is a map of Campo Grande, Brazil within the state of Mato Grosso do Sul (because I could not paste just the smaller map of Brazil in the bottom left corner), and a map of Mato Grosso do Sul within Brazil so we can see where in Brazil Clark had to superspeed to in order to find the antidote.

How did he get there so fast ? It must have been an amazing race. Although if he had stopped at the Fortress and prayed to "Our Lady of Ascension" (quite an easy thing to do, but I'm under the assumption he knows what to do), he could have even got his wings.
And Campo Grande being the capital of a divided real state ! That was a good.
