If ever there was a reason for flight....Oliver's dying in minutes and Chloe identifies the source as a flower in the south pacific. I'm thinking "get over your damned phobia and get out there".

"Lucky" for Clark the antidote was in South America (nevermind that Tess didn't tell him the exact location of the facility-heh)--if it had been in Europe, he'd have had to take a plane, not to mention finding his passport. Thank goodness he can jump over the Panama Canal. :p

No questions from Tess to Ollie about how he got cured????--even though she knew it was impossible to obtain the antidote in time.

And why didn't she suggest leeches? Apparently the only cures to this rare poison are the antidote and slow bloodletting? Ah well. At least Oliver got to run around without his shirt on for 3/4 of the episode. :D

Maybe leeches wouldn't have worked because Tess knew how far the poisoning had progressed and leeches would take too long? It would have been nice for Tess to ask Ollie but I'm hoping that they will delve into this situation later. I'm hoping the writers don't leave that as a plot hole. I feel confident this will come back to Clark later.

:rotfl:Poor Clark
If it had been in Europe...hmmm:lol: Well, he can still swimm pretty fast:rotfl:

But I agree with you, I also was expecting to see Tess asking about how Oliver got cured. As for the leeches, I think by not mentioning them Tess has proved to us she is the villain of the story.

We were told about the leeches in the episode. These leeches have a special enzyme that is the antidote to the plant's poison, and that's what the cure in the syringe was based on.

The enzyme thing sounds kinda stupid, but leeches inject you (like mosquitoes), so you don't notice them.

Also I highly doubt just any leeches would do, they would have to be the leeches on the same island.

BTW how lucky was Oliver that he didn't get infected in the 2 years he was on the island before there was anybody that could help him?

His flight will likely come in rescuing Lois (part of what makes him realize he has feelings for her...like Peter Pan thinking happy thoughts) or Chloe because they have to throw Chlarkers a bone since it can't happen at this point and it never did.

Not exactly. It was established when Bart first showed up that Clark could not run across water. Clark's fast, but not that fast.

and why did chloe keep talking as if he was going to die....why couldn't she just heal him right before he dies?

Because she hasn't got that power of hers back yet, at least I think so.

hmm..i guess..i didn't realize that when she couldn't heal clark in the premiere that that meant that they were gone...they should have cleared it up a little bit...but when they come back, why? and why did she lose them in the first place?

Maybe because of Brainiac. She was pretty "glowing" when he tried to put her in a coma:\I guess that was overwhelming.

But...I do want a good explanation to the whole thing. I hope the writers won't "forget" about it.

Not exactly. It was established when Bart first showed up that Clark could not run across water. Clark's fast, but not that fast.

I believe in the Justice League cartoon Flash and Superman had a race around the world and oceans didn't stop them; they just kept on trucking. Clark may be that fast but I think he stopped more from surprise at Bart's abilities than being slower. Previously Clark has shown that he doubts his own abilities, so I think that could also be a factor, as well as the fact that his father had just been mugged. The wallet may have been important, but I think Clark would dismiss the money as not worth it and go back to help his father, the more important person.

Also, regarding Chloe healing Oliver, there are several things to think about: something may be impeding her healing ability cough, Brainiac, cough, and also the slightly important factor for Chloe's use of that power of "It is DEATH, after all". And it's death for Chloe. That would make you hesitate.

The fact that Tess didn't mention leeches shows where her loyalties lie. That was supposed to show her evil side. You'll notice the violin screech that accompanied it.

I was wondering why Chloe didn't call the League and get them into action. Surely Bart could have made the run much faster than Clark could have. If time is of the essence why not send your fastest guy?

Man, I wish Kyle were available to guest on the show again....(anyone know why he isn't?)
