Lois' New Look. Love it or Hate it?

I have to say that the new look that Lois has is a lot better than that in previous seasons. From her hair to the way that she dresses, she seems more Lois than ever. So my question is this: Do you love her new look, or wish she went back to her old ways?

I love the "new" look for Lois... but, to be honest, it's mainly just the hair and make-up. The clothes are still pretty similar to what she used to wear before.

Just goes to show that the actresses' do know what's more flattering... Durance has been asking to go back to her brown hair color for ages now, and it does suit her better.

Gone is the unfriendly and at times spiteful bickering between them, to be replaced by heated debates and at times an indearing friendly concern! One can trully see how the dinamic of their relationship has becan to change and one can actually accept this Lois Lane as his future lifemate, whereas the Lois Lane of previous seasons simply didn't fit the bill! But this one....! And Clark as, finally a grown man, whom you can picture as a husband some day, a hero a protector of not just Smallville and Metropolis but the whole world, not to mention the lead member of the future JL!
Good for the two of them!

Really? I think it's cute. I think the reason it works is because it's just not the name of a town - it's a town named Smallville... like it's almost a cliche how much of a "small town" he comes from. The point isn't that it's where he is from... it's that he's a small-town boy, and she's a big city girl.

I really loved it when the animated Lois Lane used this (Dana Delaney's Lois) and I like it in the comics. So, for me, it seems very natural to see SVLois call Clark "Smallville"... it's nice to see a woman use that sort of affectionate nickname for a man who will be Superman.... it grounds him a bit, you know?

Erica looks just gorgeous with her naturally brown hair. She looked nice with the blonde highlights, but now it's like "WOW". I've always been a brunette fan.I really wanna see her dress the way she used to, though. So far we've only seen her at the DP (or nearby) so she's been wearing more formal work-approlriate attire. I wanna see her in street clothes now that she's a brunette. Erica is fast becoming a new favorite for me!

I think Tess is rocking the auburn. They look nothing alike to me and I'm pretty sure Clark can tell the difference as well. I was watching earlier episodes of Lois and seeing her with the lighter hair was actually kind of jarring; the darker hair suits her to perfection. She was still the Lois that I love, but now the attitude and the look match the darker haired Lois that has always been portrayed in other versions.

I'm glad Lois is out of the military style jackets and pony tail -- although I liked the bouncy, curled pony tale in Apocalypse. Actually, I liked Lois' clothes in the AU better than any other episode.

As for her hair, I like the darker color but (and this could be just me), the bangs are really heavy to me --- like they kept cutting farther and farther back. I liked them more wispy. I do think the darker color makes her look more youthful and I like her hair down.

Finally, her outfit. Certainly the style and colors were great but the fit was horrible. If you are a woman, would you walk out of the dressing room (let alone the store) in a shirt that is showing obvious strain at the middle button? It had the classic puckering pretty badly. I'm surprised no one else noticed. It was two sizes too small. Tess' was about one size too small but it only slightly puckered and accomplished the TV producer intent of dressing in a size too small (show off her assets). Lois' skirt was also two sizes too small. Can the woman even sit in that? Seriously, I know they always dress them in tighter clothes than real life but the tightness they had on Tess was "par", for Lois's red shirt, I kept thinking that middle button is going to turn into a weapon any minute.

As for Chloe's rainforest dress, in the ISIS scenes I was stunned at how tiny AM's ribcage is. It did make her look small, even though the dress has a tent-effect in many scenes, but it also almost looked like it was somehow causing her to arch her back (or it could be AM has a bad posture). It was a little odd. As for hair, while normally I like the pull-back look, I thought it made her hair look really thin and short in Toxic. I also wasn't a fan of the makeup (which miraculously toned down to "better" at ISIS). The fabric of the dress itself, BTW, was really beautiful. I have a feeling this is one of those dresses that looks fabulous in person but doesn't film as well.

Now that Kristin Kreuk is gone, Erica has reverted to her natural hair colour. It suits her.

No, it's not just you - I'm also not digging the heavy bangs. When Durance is filmed - outside of SV - she wears her bangs back and it suits her. They need to tone down the bangs.

I have to say, though, that I noticed the shirt was tight, but it didn't look strained to me. She wears like a size 0-2, so I can't imagine that it was too tight on her. The skirt, too, looked good to me and not too tight. If I had any problem with it, it was that I don't like the color of the shirt... I'm not happy about any color that hits the "salmon" or "hot pink" area.

I didn't like Mack's look and dress at all. It looked like the dress was going to fall off any second and she looked uncomfortable wearing it. Her posture was terrible, because she looked like she was holding the dress up through sheer force of will.

Everyone looks so damn hot this season! Except Kristin--that wig is seriously atrocious! They should have allowed her to wear her hair naturally, even if it was short. It's way cuter than what we're seeing now in SV.

And the promo shots are awesome! The girls steal the show! Erica is gorgeous! Allison is glowing! And that Cassidy is just sooooo sexy!!!! But the boys aren't too far behind!! Tom is so in charge!!!
